4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant Holiday Diversion

While not a great one, it is a very pleasant holiday film. I've often wondered what a child's reaction to seeing it's mother kissing Santa would be and this story is one very amusing take on that idea. Granted some of the actions are over the top, but is does offer a child's eye view of such a situation. Plus it features the always lovely Connie Sellecca - that...

1.0 out of 5 stars The service sucks
I have not received the merchandise. I received an email that said I may get it sometime in February. It's not like it was a very popular movie, so why the delay?

5.0 out of 5 stars A Real Christmas Winner!, December 27, 2001
By A Customer
I've long been a big fan of the Sprouse twins (the cute kid in 'Big Daddy' amongst other roles) so I couldn't wait to see them in this Christmas movie. Luckily, I wasn't disappointed.

It's a story about a little boy who has his pre-Christmas festivities spoiled when he catches sight of his mom (Connie Sellecca) sharing a seasonal kiss with 'Santa Claus'. Not knowing that 'Santa' was actually his dad, Justin (Dylan & Cole Sprouse) sets about a plan to keep Santa away from his house before his dad (Corbin Bernsen) returns home on Christmas Eve.

Sellecca and Bernsen work well together and both performances as Justin's parents are very convincing. Both Dylan and Cole Sprouse are every bit as good in this movie as they were in 'Big Daddy' and, although two years older, still haven't lost their appeal. Eric Jacobs also turns in a cracking performance as Justin's best friend, Bobby.

It's a shame that Christmas movies are really only bought in the Christmas season as this film will work well all year round and the DVD version has the added bonus of 'director's commentary' and, best of all, 'bloopers' which show some funny moments when the film was being made.

If you miss this one, you'll miss out!

Good movie some of the acting was so so. But it was funny and had a good story line. Anyone would like to see it especially near the holidays or even in summer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Maybe not a Classic but....., October 20, 2002

...My 5 year old son and I watched this movie last year together and really liked it. I didn't feel 'stupid' watching it. I thought the story line was cute and showed just how kids tend to interpret things much differently than adults. Home Alone type stunts make kids laugh (and adults with a child like sense of humor!) Overall it may not go down as a classic Christmas movie, but at least it's a movie the whole family can enjoy together.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute Family Movie, January 13, 2011

I thought this was a cute holiday movie for the whole family. However, the child's character plays pranks on Santa throughout the movie. I think it's very important that the children who watch this know that his behavior was wrong. All of the trouble could have been avoided if the main character had just talked to his parents about the misunderstanding. But then there wouldn't have been a basis for the movie. Anyways, I think it's a good teaching opportunity for kids.

THIS IS A FUN CHRISTMAS MOVIE THAT I LIKE TO WATCH EVERY YEAR. THE SCENERY IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE CAST OF CHARACTERS IS REALLY GOOD. I LOVE THE WHOLE POINT OF THE STORY FROM THE KIDS POINT OF VIEW. THERE IS A LOT OF COMEDY. IT REALLY MAKES ME THINK ABOUT MY YEARS AS A KID AT CHRISTMAS. ALL THE GOOD TIMES. THIS IS WELL WORTH YOUR TIME.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious!, December 13, 2009
What happens when you don't want Santa to visit your house? You try to be as naughty as possible!

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus is easily the funniest Christmas movie I have seen since Elf. The young boy (Cole Sprouse) worries that Santa is having an affair with his mother. As such, he plays all sorts of tricks to try to preserve his family. Some of the scenes are absolutely hilarious, with Sprouse calling Santa a "home-wrecker" and creating Home Alone-style booby traps to ensnare Santa (including milk and cookies with tobacco sauce). However, don't worry - I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus won't inspire your kids to be naughty this Christmas. The movie manages to maintain an air of levity throughout, making it appropriate for children of all ages.
