This product is the best price on the right stuff if you want to take Saw Palmetto. Shipping is $4.95 per shipment so it is best to buy several at once if purchasing this product. A year's supply of 6 bottles (360 capsules) is $32 with shipping at the current price of $4.49 per bottle.

Some scientific studies have shown that standardized saw palmetto extract in this dosage (320 mg daily of standardized extract) is effective in decreasing the symptoms of benign prostate hyperplasia(BPH). Other studies have shown that it is no more effective than a sugar pill. Overall, saw palmetto is thought to be safe and may be of some help for BPH.

In simple terms BPH means that the prostate is enlarged and slowing down the male urinary stream. The downside of taking saw palmetto is that it should not be an excuse for avoiding an exam and discussion with your doctor. For example an exam and blood test may be needed to rule out prostate cancer. So man up and see your doctor if you have urinary symptoms that might be BPH or might be cancer. That done you can consider whether to take saw palmetto.

Out of all the brands, formulations, etc. this is the best I've found. It has the CO2 extract of saw palmetto, also has the organic pumpkin seed oil--in an appropriate ratio (ie: not too much, relative to the saw palmetto extract).

The only downside for me is the $4.99 shipping. Otherwise this is a great product. I take 2x/day with AM/PM meals..

I tried it and had no improvement to my problem with frequent night time urination. Was going every 2 hours. I tried a plant sterol product called Super Beta Prostate. That did completely resolve the prostate issue. My brothers have had success with it as well.

Take two in the morning and two in the afternoon - you sleep better at night and don't wake up for a pesky bathroom trip. This has been my experience (I am in mid 40-ieth). My physician also said that Saw Palmetto **might** work decreasing the production of DHT - thus preventing BPE. So last time he said: "If it works for you - that's great!". Note: I also take 1tsp of Cod Liver oil - not sure if it's related or not. (This is not a medical advise - talk to your doctor)
