Broad Spectrum - DEET Plus a Fly Repellent3 repellents in 1 formula - Effective for biting flies, gnats & no-see-ums, plus mosquitoes and ticks. While DEET does repel mosquitoes, ticks, and some flies, it does not repel all flies. This DEET plus R-326 formula is effective against flies, gnat, and no-see-ums. Sawyer's Broad Spectrum contains no alcohol which has been shown to increase skin absorption of DEET, and is the only non-alcohol spray repellent in the USA. My husband is a bug magnet, he uses this in the woods of Vermont all summer and each year on a 150 mile charity bike ride where he camps in a Mangrove swamp. Between the Sawyer tent spray and this he is fine. This is the first product we have ever bought that will REALLY repel blackflies in the woods of Vermont.
