I used this product while in Ghana Africa April 2009, and I guess it worked because no insects bothered me! Everyone else was complaining I did not have any problems from bugs!

I bought a bunch of these for a friend who volunteered this summer in Africa. Thought that near 100% Deet would be insanely strong for Central Texas but a necessity for Africa. But I kept one for myself and won't use any smelly, weak, overpriced store bought again. This is excellent because

1. Very little needed, just a little spritz and spread it around.
2. It works great.
3. It has so little smell you have to put it right up to your nose to smell it and I've had friends who couldn't smell it at all.

So much better than the Deep Woods, Cutter's , etc. and much more economical.

Great product.Does it's job perfectly , with very low odor.Used it during my trip to the Maldives where mosquitos are very common but they stayed away from me this time.Thankyou Maxi Deet.Highly recommend it!

This stuff is amazing!!! I bought it before going to Wyoming this summer. I used it almost every time I went outside. I spent time wading through beaver ponds, which were infested with millions of mosquitos. I did not get one single bite. I spent alot of time outside in high mosquito areas and never got bitten. It goes on a little greasy, but not too bad. Way better than the bites. Also, I sprayed it on my clothes, and on the lighter cotton fabrics it made oil spots, but those came out in the laundry. I will never go to a place known to have mosquitos without it again!!!

I was primitive camping in North Florida with 5 of my friends and brought this along. I figured I would need something tough as I was being chewed alive in the city, so I know I was doomed in the woods.

Sure enough, we were swarmed. I put this on and aside from an occasional bump by a passing bug, nothing bit me. Ticks were falling out of the trees and onto my clothes only to look for a very quick way to get away from me.

The down side to this product is that it leaves the usual film on you, burns the crud out of your face and neck and isn't large enough for more than a few days out in the woods.

Used this at the beach a few times and made all the difference in the world. Kept the biting flys away. Also worked well in the yard with mosquitoes.

This is the only thing that works on the hordes of black flies, swarms of mosquitoes and circling deer flies found in the deep Adirondack woods where I like to explore. I've brought it with me to Mexico and to Belize and it works on tropical bugs too. However if you decide you really want to be spraying 100% DEET and rubbing it on yourself you should make sure you are aware that it can have serious health effects. Taking a shower or swim before turning in for the night might not be a bad idea. Please don't use it if you're pregnant or around someone who is, and you probably don't want to have it in your house at all if you have young children or live with someone who might drink it.

I applied the MaxiDeet to repel mosquitos and my skin reacted with a bright red rash. I should have tested the product on a small area first. I threw the product away.

We use this for regular camping and hiking in the US. It work's wonderfully for our needs. We like the small compact design. It fits in our hiking belt perfectly. The red cap makes easy to find with flashlights.

Recently had a travel consult for a trip to Asia where malaria is an issue. Products containing anything more than 50% DEET are overkill and can be harmful to your body. Google it, or look at this article:
