This book was sent as a gift for my daughter, who is less than a year old. She really likes this book. When I first read it to her, the "boo" sounds made her giggle. Now she giggles when she sees the book.
It is really short, so it's really good for the little ones. I'm not sure that the older kids would be as entertained, since it ends pretty quickly. The pictures are really nicely done and the white ghosts really stand-out on the darker color backgrounds. Specific to the board-book -- Like other board books, this one is made rather sturdy so that the young toddler hands won't destroy it outright.

Say Boo introduces us to sweet ghost Ben, who doesn't want anyone to know he can't say "boo." Going off on a quest to practice his booing, he says "Moo" and "Whoo" and "Coo," but it isn't till he breaks down in tears that he manages to solve his problem.
I love the friendly illustrations and Ben's gentle personality. When I saw this book, I couldn't wait to read it to my 2 1/2-year-old son, and when I read it to him he had me read it three times in a row. My only complaints: it's REALLY hard to tear out the stickers without damaging the book, and it seems a bit unlikely that no one has noticed that someone named Ben--someone who has a brother named Boris--has been unable to make B sounds for some time without anyone noticing. The latter issue is nothing to the book's charm, however, and I guess the former issue is just something to be careful about.

A Cute Introduction to Halloween Ghosts,
By Mom to 2 lil' monkeys (Manitoba, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Say Boo! (Halloween) (Board book)
A short story of Ben the Ghost who is trying to learn how to say BOO. The pictures are cute with lots of nice colour and the text is simple, but fun, allowing you to make sounds likes Whooo, Mooo, Cooo and BOO! Overall it is a sweet little story that flows well and is enjoyable. Maybe a bit pricey for about 10 pages of actual pictures and text (if that sort of thing would affect your decision).
