5.0 out of 5 stars An invaluable addition to the reference shelf, May 9, 2000

Margo's book is filled with excellent tips, techniques and exercises to help even the "neediest" in the realm of speech giving/presentations. I find myself referencing this book over and over again - with each new presentation I give. The pages are dog-earred for a reason - I can always find an area that I need to refresh my skills in. I can "Say it With Confidence" - buy this book - you'll be glad you did.

5.0 out of 5 stars In a league of its own, June 18, 1999

Margo deeply understands the fears and problems faced by her readers. I found her knowledge on the subject practical, enlightening, and comforting.

I was as fascinated to learn why we feel the way we do, as to the remedies offered. More than once, while reading, I caught myself thinking, "so that's why I feel this way...now I know why, I can begin to change."

This is a well written, extremely helpful book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Anyone who speaks needs this book, May 1, 2002

I have found this book extremely helpful in planning and giving presentations - much more than most of the other books out there on public speaking. I make a lot of speeches every year, and I often go back to the presentation analysis form the author suggests to make sure I'm going to connect with the audience.

The very best thing about this book is the underlying message in every chapter: it's not about you the speaker. It's about your relationship with the listeners. When you are thinking about them and helping them understand your ideas, you lose the self-consciousness about yourself.

This is a useful book for both experienced speakers (the exercises are terrific!) and people new to speaking who need a boost in confidence.
