In short, I use many phrase books for different languages, and this one was very good and worth the price.

A pretty decent phrasebook for those pressed for time, October 28, 2001
This review is from: Say It In Dutch: Over 1,400 up-to-date practical entries (Paperback)
This pithy phrasebook is ideal for someone who just needs to get by in Dutch. Dutch is not a particularly difficult language for English speakers, so that helps. Other than tourist oriented sentences and an index, the only other material is a table that explicates pronounciation. Again, no big deal here. Pretty much anything a tourist might need to say is here. The only things that might make it better would be a crash course on conjugating verbs, and a glossary at the back for supplementary vocabulary.
