Are hidden allergies slowing you down?,
By
This review is from: Say Good-Bye to Illness (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
As many people know, suffering from allergies is often times easier than following the doctor's advice to control them. Nambudripad addresses this issue in her book, "Say Good-Bye To Illness."The book "Say Good-Bye To Illness" is an excellent resource book. It is filled with practical advice and tips on how to treat allergies with complete success. Over the years Nambudripad's name has been maligned and sneered at as she pioneered the idea that it's not just heredity or pathogens that lead to chronic illness but unseen allergies accumulated over time. Allergies have always been presented to Americans as the hay fever sufferer or the anaphylactic peanut-eater. But millions of Americans are suffering from allergies to things they come in contact with daily and don't show up as a sneeze or anaphylactic shock but eventually lead to serious chronic illness. Traditional medical treatments are a miserable failure as attested to by many of our chronically ill. As the drugs and medicines have been added to the mix instead of noninvasive NAET treatments, Americans are suffering complications and a prognosis of continual deterioration. Dr. Nambudripad's idea that treating allergies with NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique) can lead to eradicating illness and better health for a host of chronically ill patients has been vindicated. The NAET is a 4 step approach. Step 1 is where you begin treating the basic 10 immune boosters to tip the scale to bolster your immune system and get the immune system up and running to continue to Step 2. In this step you begin to treat individual allergies you may have to foods, substances, the environment, (any and all allergies and/or sensitivities) and these are continued based on your condition and rate of recovery. Some patients need three NAET treatments per week to start and then taper off as their condition improves. Step 3 is where you begin to assimilate and understand how NAET works to return you to a state of health and in Step 4 you learn to test and treat allergies on yourself. "Say Good-Bye to Illness" discusses each of these steps and concentrates mainly on Steps 3 and 4. "The Naet Guide Book" is the companion book to "Say Good-Bye to Illness" and it is a must read for every patient starting out on their NAET journey and it focuses mainly on Steps 1 and 2. "Say Good-Bye To Illness" covers in great detail how Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques work. The first section of the book through Chapter 7 delves into what the techniques are and why and how they work. The second section, Chapter 8 through Chapter 11, describes NAET through the explanation of muscle response testing, causes of disease, and the discovery of NAET, to the role that Chinese medicine and the acupuncture meridians play in this exciting new health treatment. Some of my favorite chapters are found in the third section of the book. Chapters 12 through Chapter 22 detail how specific allergies affect different organs in the body from the digestive system, respiratory system, skin, joints, genitourinary, circulatory, and nervous systems to the myriad of miscellaneous disorders like addictions, yeast, candidiasis, mold, fungus, CFS, eye disorders, pain disorders, autism, asthma and so many more. This section's explanations are dotted with over 100 success stories to give the reader a pleasant break from the medical detail and also affords the reader a moment to reflect how patients have backed up Nambudripad's medical explanations in these chapters. Extraordinary, yummy stories from patient-volunteered testimonials, these are patients' tales about their NAET journeys and amazing successes. Stories of people having rid themselves of plaguing pains and illnesses and how NAET successfully eradicated health conditions like peanut anaphylaxis, allergy to shellfish, constant sciatic pain, food allergies, hives, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, colitis, lactose intolerance, hay fever, bronchitis, asthma, dust allergy, eczema, hair loss, arthritis, osteoarthritis, sports injury, psoriasis, lupus, bed wetting, allergy to dairy, PMS, sinus headaches, migraines, multiple sclerosis, insomnia, osteoporosis, diaper rash and so many more which all help the reader truly understand the miracle that is NAET. YES you can eat anything you want again! You can eat dairy, gluten or peanuts and have pizza, cake or even shellfish, wine or coffee. The key of course is eradicating the allergies you have to the foods you love. You can learn to handle your allergies on the fly after a night out where you know you have sinned. Just keep a little of what it was you ate and self treat it! This book includes a tip to master self-testing. This 500-page book includes information for the multiple chemical sensitive patient as well as vital nutritional advice to maintain good health. The book "Say Good-Bye to Illness" makes living a fun and active life a real possibility again for so many of us, and it is an enjoyable read I highly recommend!

A FANTASTIC BOOK!,

This review is from: Say Good-Bye to Illness (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
A Fantastic Book!First I was introduced to the book, "Say Good-bye to Your Allergies," by Dr. devi S. Nambudripad. That was an excellent book! Then I bought this book. This book is certainly surpassed the meaning of its title. It is indeed going to show you a way to Say Good-bye to your Illness, no matter what kind of illness you are suffering from. The NAET technique is definitely a revolutionary treatment to eliminate allergies, the cause of most human illnesses! The procedure is very simple and noninvasive and drug-free just the way it says on the cover of the book. I suffered from severe food allergies since childhood. I was treated in Dr. Devi's office by Dr. Mala. After seven treatment, I was relieved from my usual devastating allergy symptoms. So I am a true believer in this treatment. This book is well written, quite educational, easy to understand. There are some self-help tips very useful for the laymen to help with acute problems. In chapter 7 she has given the reader step-by-step instruction to test your own allergy using simple procedures. These testing techniques are very helpful. Everyone must learn them. These techniques can help you locate the cause of your allergic reactions easily in your privacy without going through expensive testing procedures. Once located you have two choices: you can avoid it or find an NAET practitioner to help you. I highly recommend this book to everyone. This pertains to Say Good-bye to Illness, 3rd. edition.

This is the book that saved my life,

This review is from: Say Good-Bye to Illness (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
I am a patient suffering from allergies all my life and for the past 10 years they got much worse. I was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis and finally lupus. The pain and suffering was unbearable, to the point where I thought I'd rather be dead than going through all the pain. Finally I found "NAET" read the book and with much happiness I can say I'm pain free! The book "Say Goodbye to Illness" gave me confidence I needed to go through the treatment. I can't believe it took me so long to find the cure to my problem. Thanks to Dr. Nambrudipad's Allergy Elimination technique, I'm a whole new person. I can't ever thank her for all she's done for me. She is giving me back my life and a good understanding of it too. Finally, this comment is for a person who expressed a negative opinion about the book. It's not fair that you express your negativity with those comments on the web if you don't have the experience of going through the treatments yourself. I feel you discourage people that are suffering from pain and illness to look for another road to better health. Before you warn people on what to buy, you should first learn more and maybe some of those treatments may very well be helpful for all your bitterness. God Bless, Grace

Great Alternative for Allergies,

I have tried conventional treatments for my asthma and rashes for many years. In fact, I have been trying to get rid of these allergies for 13 years. Now that I have bought this book and checked with an actual NAET practitioner for the causes of these allergies, I have not had symptoms even though I have been exposed to the same causes. It is AMAZING! My allergic rashes have been eliminated for good it seems. I never thought this would be possible. Thank you Dr. Nambudripad! Oh and everyone who is suffering from allergies should ABSOLUTELY check this book out!

Having an open mind is significant to overcoming illness.
This book is a welcomed read that expands on the applications of her original book. I hope more readers will take a leap of faith & discover that there is resolution to ailments outside of the clique of western medicine: Our society is so sick these days, & that in itself speaks to the efficacy of traditional western medicine without any complimentary interventions such as this book discusses. In response to the reviewer who gave negative feedback: I went to 3 "board certified allergists to get well" over several years, and all 3 told me I had no allergies, yet prescribed corticosteroids & other medications for me attempt to quell the symptoms that were wearing me out. Interesting that I had "no allergies", but I was prescribed allergy medications. Finally I learned about NAET, and after just one treatment the impact was amazing. If I had had a closed mind & let myself get wrapped up in the western-medicine-is-the-only-valid-medical-care myth, I would still be miserable.

Hope for allergy patients,

As soon as I bought this book, I was intrigued by the possibilities it offered compared to traditional medicine with the only possibility of avoidance or desensitization with injections. This new treatment that Dr. Nambudripad offers seems to be non-invasive and safe. However, the results sold me on the idea. I visited an NAET practitioner in Vancouver and was delighted by the whole protocol of the treatment. It doesn't hurt and can definitely stop allergies, like my cat hair allergy. I recommend this book and treatment=)

An excellent guide to good health,

This review is from: Say Good-Bye to Illness (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
This third edition of this book is lot better than the first edition. It captivated my attention and I read it from cover to cover in couple of days (in spite of my busy schedule). I really liked its contents and also the way it is organized. It definitely is a great book to purchase and read. If you are like me, tired and scared of hearing the side effects of the traditional medicine, NAET is the way to go and this book says it all.The first 1 to 5 chapters help us to learn the importance of eliminating the nerve energy blockage, which causes various illnesses. In chapter 6 she has given a good example to explain how we can remove the cause of blockage. In chapter 7 she has given the reader a way to test our own allergy or at least narrow down what could have caused the problem for our allergic reaction and take action, either by treating it ourselves or seeking the help of a professional NAET practitioner. Throughout the book she has given several examples of symptoms, what caused it and how it could be eliminated. She has given several testimonials to give the reader the effectiveness of the treatment. Chapter 18, describes how emotions play an important part in our health. It is so true! Chapter 13 is very informative on supplements that we take. I was so amazed to realize how ignorant I was in taking supplements without knowing how it reacts with the body. Every chapter in this book has given me valuable information regarding health related problems and how it can be overcome. Over all this book (the Third Edition) is like a `bible', you can carry it with you and refer to it to check back the cause of an illness or a physical pain and narrow down what could have caused it and then take care of it (nip it in the bud). This is an excellent reference book for people who don't want to pump toxin into their body but on the other hand want to eliminate it before it does severe damage. The Author's theory of eliminating the toxin that blocks the energy circulation is well explained in this book. I like to think of it as yet another example: when our zinc gets all plugged up and water does not drain off easily, the zinc soon gets an overflow of water which runs off on the floor and damages the beautiful flooring or the rug. Then we have to bring in the roto-rooter who clears the blockage. The water then starts flowing down easily and it eliminates the overflow problem. Of course, sometimes, if we wait too long to call the roto-rooter, the damage the water blockage does may not be completely repairable unless we spent more time and money to fix the aftermath (side effects of overflow). Get the drift? Just like you do your daily chores (brush your teeth, remove plaque and tarter from it, bathe your body, eat your meals, clean your house and surroundings, etc.) taking care of your mental and physical fitness is also important. You don't brush your teeth or take a bath one day and say that you don't have to bathe yourself anymore or brush your teeth any more. Your teeth will accumulate plaque or tarter and get dirty or decay for which you have to brush everyday and you have to go to the dentist regularly. Just because you took a bath one day does not mean that your body will not sweat or get dirty the next day. As it gets dirty, you have to wash it and keep it clean. Similarly, your health also has to be taken care of on a regular basis; a daily chore. NAET treatment is a way to do it, painlessly, without any harmful drugs and its side effects. This book explains it clearly.

To Say Good-Bye to Illness-You Have To See Our Doctors,

This review is from: Say Good-Bye to Illness (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
THIS IS NOT A SELF-HELP BOOK as I had thought. As the doctor notes on page xxxv :The framework of this book is drawn from a formal dissertational I submitted as a basis for my doctorate degree"__.
This information is not helpful for treating people who live too far from a NAET practitioner or who may not be able to afford care. As the doctor states on page 28, "This book will teach you how to test yourself and locate your problem. STEPS OF TREATMENT ARE NOT GIVEN HERE BECAUSE THAT IS BEYOND THE SCOPE OF THIS BOOK. NAET TRAINING IS LIMITED TO ACTIVELY LICENSED MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS ONLY" The title should be, Say Good-Bye to Illness-See One Of Our Doctors. What a pity, the doctor had an opportunity to help millions of people in her book. If the kinesiology or accupressure portion of her technique works and I suspect it does in a percentage of the people, most lay people could apply it. The companion book to this one, The NAET Guide Book is of absolutely of no help as a guide book to the self help person either. As the doctor states in the Preface, "The purpose of this book is to help practitioners who treat patients with__NAET and patients who undergo NAET treatments." Just as dissapointing as in Say Good-Bye To Illness in the respect that there is no hint of the secret treatments. I believe that I am one of several thousand people who may have bought these books looking for a glimmer of hope for a loved one. Unfortunately what is cloacked as a self-help book written with the lay person in mind is disapointing in that respect. This is not to discourage those who may seek out NAET care as it appears from the testimonials it helps many conditions.

NAET is expensive but it is working for my baby and me.,
By Truth Seeker "Truth Seeker" (O'Fallon, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Say Good-Bye to Illness (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
I've had IBS for years and was getting very depressed. It interfered with everything I did. Everything I ate seemed to bother me. I've had two treatments and am seeing dramatic improvements already. I can eat without having stomach pains and constipation. I can actually eat dairy again!
My son is now 1 year old and he has also had two treatments and the rash on his face is gone. His excema on his arms and legs is clearing up and his bowel movements are normal now too. I have even noticed that he has been sleeping better. My husband was very skeptical at first but agreeded to pay for us to go. We both agreed it was worth a try for both my son and me. We go once a week because it is not covered through insurance. It has been worth it. I have seen so many specialists that were unable to help. This is the first time that someone is actually helping us. The book is interesting and informative but I would suggest going to the NAET website and finding information there and a practitioner in your area with the most up to date education. The experience has inspired me to return to school to become a D.C. so that I can learn NAET and help others. (NAET practitioners must have a licensed medical degree). I hope this helps someone out there.

Crucial addition for the Home Health Library!,

This review is from: Say Good-Bye to Illness (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
This was my second time buying this book. My first one has traveled through many hands and has yet to return. The information is so intriguing and validating. Most of my childrens allergies have been treated and elliminated and their health problems have disappeared-just as I hoped they would after reading this book and going through these treatments. The technique described (NAET) is phenomenol. It works. I just wish I didn't wait a year to call the Doctor in our area who performed it. Literally this is medicine of the future.
This book has a great section of case studies, doctors testimonials, patient testimonials. All of which helped me realize my family was more "allergic" than I had ever imagined. But our health issues didn't seem so daunting, I found a solution. And IT WORKS! This book, and the treatments have changed not just my life but upwards of 50+ friends, relatives, and aquaintances who've sought out NAET after telling our story. Thats in the year and a half since we started reading this book. Now tell me-have you ever found a doctor who could resolve so many issues in one office, that you've referred that many people to, knowing they'd get what they were looking for? This book gives the reader an understanding of the treatment process, and the benefits. And thats valuable information for someone to be capable of who is starting on this journey. |
