Camping Trip with Noises,

This is a beginning reader about a father, son, and daughter, out on a camping trip. It's bedtime, but the children keep hearing noises and seeing shapes against the tent walls (a bear! a wolf!). Thus they can't sleep. The father doesn't know what to do, but the children do know: they ask him to leave on a light. He leaves the lantern on and everybody goes to sleep. A satisfying story, but not quite on the same level as "I Want a Pet," "The Gum on the Drum," or "My Friend Goes Left," all from the same series.
