The story behind the long awaited Ralph's World video debut, August 25, 2003
Ralph's World
`Say Hello!' Video
Established children's music sensation Ralph's World now brings his catchy tunes and infectious energy to video for the first time with Ralph's World `Say Hello'. With four critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums already under his belt, it's finally time to reveal the visual splendor and wonder of Ralph's World to kids and their families.
"Our biggest goal was to capture the human face of what I do and the connection with the kids. It's playful, it's colorful, it's silly, but it's not patronizing," says Ralph.
Against a backdrop of exploding color and charm and amidst gloriously vibrant swimming fish, laughing and singing trees, dancing children, untidy cowboys, trombone-playing canines, and hand-jiving duckies, Ralph leads children in singing and dance-along performances of favorites from the first three Ralph's World albums (Ralph's World, At the Bottom of the Sea, and Happy Lemons) Add in funny sketches and guest stars such as Freddy Bear the Teddy Bear, Sammy the Dog, Betty Botter and an extremely silly Muffin Man, and you have an unforgettable experience that both children and their parents are sure to enjoy over and over again.
"People seem to be laughing at the right parts. Parents and adults seem to enjoy it as much as the kids, which is the goal," said Ralph.
Children from the Dance Center of Evanston join Ralph and welcome young viewers to dance along with easy-to-learn routines. Parents can't help but move to the irresistibly catchy beats and peppy pop-rock melodies. The Los Angeles Times describes Ralph as a "rock artist turned kid's performer with an irresistibly unexpected approach to family music."
The video is perfect for day, night, or "whenever you need to bribe your kids to do what you want," Ralph, a parent himself, says jokingly.
Ralph's World is already known for creating contemporary, hip, and parent-friendly children's music with a rock `n' roll edge and it is no secret among parents that Ralph's World is as popular with adults craving excellent songs and fun entertainment as with the kids themselves.
Ralph's World has been championed in most of the major daily papers, magazines, and television programs, both locally and nationally. Family Fun magazine says "the veteran Chicago rock and roller can already take his place as one of our finest children's musicians."
Kids and parents everywhere can bring the magic of Ralph's World `Say Hello' Video into their own home September 23, the video release date. Mini-Fresh Records is already in the planning stages for a follow-up video, set for next year, with a fifth Ralph's World album soon thereafter.

You Want The Best? You Got The Best!, October 10, 2003
My 3 year old son and 5 year old daughter prefer Ralph's World "Say Hello" to both The Wiggles and Barney. All that have been asking for is "Ralph video, Ralph video, Ralph video!".
The skits are cute, the children dancers are great, and Ralph's songs are just so dang catchy! The kid's love it so much that I usually treat them by pressing the "repeat" function on the DVD.
Buy this DVD and visit Ralph's World! Your kids will thank you.

My toddler wants to be Ralph!, December 1, 2003
My 21-month old son is obsessed with this DVD. Instead of being a zombie out in front of the TV like when other programs are on, he dances and sings his way through this. He even pretends to play the guitar to be just like Ralph. I have to admit that the production and editing is a little sloppy during some parts, but only the adults will notice that. Kids will only care that Ralph and cast are fun and colorful and engaging. Sometimes when I need to work or cook I turn the TV on and feel guilty when my son just sits like a lump and watches, but with this DVD I don't feel so bad because he's getting exercise and practicing his vocal skills.
I highly recommend this DVD and can't wait until the next one comes out.
