An outstanding singer-song writer that should be better known, June 4, 2011

Saw Siskind open for 'Over the Rhine' recently. What a revelation! I would speculate she's on the cusp of stardom. If her next album is as good as 'Louder' there's no way she can remain relatively unknown. It's always risky to compare an artist to someone else, but at times Siskind sounds Joni Mitchell-esque (though her song writing is not as esoteric). Folk, country and rock influences abound here. 'Keep Me Alive', 'Dress Me Up' and the title song are personal favorites, but there's nary a weak cut. Love it, love it, love it!

Just got this CD and I love every track. Deep, soulful imagery with a voice that delivers. Truly gifted songwriter and I love her ability to deliver the lyrics in such a powerful and personal way. Great CD - get it!

I wonder if it is possible to wear out a CD from playing it so much! I will be putting "Say It Louder" to the test. Sarah is completely amazing and awesome with the most beautiful voice and mesmerizing songs. If I looked up extraordinary in the dictionary I would find a pic of her right there. If there is one CD to add to your collection or give as a gift, this one is a must.....thirteen spectacular tracks, each one memorable and delightful. Sarah is a gifted artist with a rare ability to touch your head, heart and soul. Every song is captivating and enchanting. 5 stars is an understatement - this CD has 13 stars! "Wow" says it best :)

A winner and a beauty, NO SURPRISE, June 11, 2009

I must admit I've been awaiting this album since I first saw her perform a year ago. I heard her take her songs which I'd heard performed before by others (Allison K, the Stringdusters)and hearing her singing them was a revelation. She mines her heart with a power, a depth, that can't help but touch ours. Given a producer who understands her this recording is all good. I don't have time to listen to most CDs more than a couple times but this along with Pete Case's many winners and Eric Merrill's fab CD will return to my ear again and again.
