Cows say MOO! Sheep say BAA! and you'll say, "YAY" to this cheery, Speak-and-Play book. It allows you to record each animal sound in your own voice and play it back with the press of a button! While you're listening to your child say things like Baa! Quack! and Oink!, don't be surprised to hear lots of giggles and cheers too! It's a fun interactive way to learn and that's something to talk about!

5.0 out of 5 stars SAY MOO! A SPEAK AND PLAY BOOK, November 6, 2009
This review is from: Say Moo! (Hardcover)
This is a wonderful book for preschoolers. I am the school librarian at a preschool for children with speech, language, and hearing concerns and this book was well received by the children. They loved hearing their own voices played back to them and this is exactly what we needed to encourage them to use their words. Not only did this little gem entice them to make the animal sounds, they spoke the names of the animals as well.

By the way, the illustrations are colorful and language inducing with many objects to label and colors to name. From pink pig to brown horse, yellow duck to white sheep, rainbow colored rooster to black and white cow, and don't forget the yellow, blue and red birds lurking on each page; your preschoolers will enjoy telling you the colors of the farm animals.

I only have two regrets with this little book and one is that the publisher did not provide a spot where you could replace the battery once it expired. The other is that the cow is on the cover but there is no page inside for cow. I made up my own little cow sentence and then allowed the children to record from the picture on the cover.

I'm ordering a second book because our little preschoolers would be very sad if they could not enjoy making the animal noises and talking about the pictures. Enjoy!
