4.0 out of 5 stars Well researched October 29, 2011

Very well researched book. Ideas and misconception about diabetes can be changed. A handy book in today's stressful life. However diet suggested is based on European dietary pattern and not in international pattern. If a person is of Asian origin then modification has to be made accordingly.

Excellent. I have started implementing many of PH principles, and I have DEFINITELY seen a change. I'm feeling much better. Also, his approach seems balanced and healthy - no cutting out whole food groups or anything like that. You genuinely don't feel hungry on his diet at all. Everything he says he backs up with study after study. I can really recommend this book for anyone with insulin resistance, diabetes or a history of diabetes.

What a wonderfully researched book which has answered many questions for me about pre-diabetes which I have been struggling with for 3 years. Maybe now with my newly acquired knowledge the condition will improve or go away. Thank you Patrick!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Book October 2, 2013

Unfortunately not written very well, yet a very important book. The notion of GL's once understood is a way to work with one's metabolism to affect change. It is great that Holford has had success reversing Diabetes. The empowerment is wonderful. Wish he could write better or had an editor that knew what they were doing.
