About the Author
Iraj Anvar was born in Tehran to a family of poetry lovers. He has worked for many years as a director and actor in the theatre in Iran, where he has translated many theatrical texts. In 1978, having obtained a scholarship from the former Iranian government, he traveled to the U.S. As a consequence of the Iranian revolution, he decided to stay and became a U.S. citizen. He still resides in the United States. Anne Twitty, a winner of the PEN Prize for Poetry in Translation polishes the English.
