Great Old-Time from a master of the craft, November 2, 1999

Say, Old Man treats the listener to a perfect balance of traditional fiddle tunes, ballads, up-tempo singing numbers, and duets with Linda Higginbotham.
Brad Leftwich has established himself as one of the great living Old-Time fiddlers and a master Round Peak style clawhammer banjo player, but we get to hear so much more here. I particularly enjoy his poignant banjo up-picking and singing on the death ballad Kitty Wells, and the joyous Are You Gettin' There, Rabbit? on which, among other tracks, Linda provides terrific rhythm parts on the unusual but appropriate banjo-uke.
I eagerly await more!
