Say "YES",to Say Yes To Change!,

This review is from: Say Yes to Change: 25 Keys to Winning in Times of Transition (Hardcover)
Say Yes To Change has literally changed my life. Facing a huge life transition, I was nervous, depressed and confused. Having two small children, I knew I had to get a grip on my situation and turn things around. The changes began the moment I read the first chapter and began doing the (simple yet very effective) exercises. Immediately my attitude began to change. I felt uplifted and empowered. My actions and words instantly became more positive, and I could see the results they were having on my husband and children. I can't recommend this book enough to any one who is facing any kind of change. The ideas and exercises are applicable for virtually any circumstance. Thank you George and Sedena for a wonderful literary work, that truly inspires and motivates!

There's never been a time when change has been so necessary,

This review is from: Say Yes to Change: 25 Keys to Winning in Times of Transition (Hardcover)
This is a timely book for this moment in history, when humanity is so mired in a war metaphor -- from the war on drugs, to the war on terror, and even to thinking we need a war to deal with poverty. A profound change of thinking to a way that's less divisive and destructive is necessary for our very salvation. Since collective change starts with personal change, ways that help us to think more intelligently about ourselves are valuable now. This book is a workshop on personal change that's imbedded in an understanding of the potential of humanity as a spirit-filled species. It could be used as a manual for group activity in work situations, where a few people could get together to turn lunch hour into a growth experience. It would be a great tool for Human Development Departments in big businesses, where unfacilitated groups would be able just to follow the exercises at the end of each of the 25 explanations of changeful ways of seeing and being. And, any individual with the self-discipline to do the exercises could save a lot of money on workshops that are out there by just following the instructions in this book.

A Timely Gem,
By A Customer
This review is from: Say Yes to Change: 25 Keys to Winning in Times of Transition (Hardcover)
Given the difficult times we're living in today, this book speaks to the changes all of us are making. The authors offer specific advice on every aspect of how to make that change in a way that's positive and productive. Several friends borrowed my copy before buying one of their own, and we all agree that the authors bring a fresh, brave, intelligent, and nurturing voice to their message about how to use change to lead a more joyful life. The short chapters also make it an easy book to use for daily inspiration.

Fortunately I was given a copy otherwise I probably would have wanted my money back. I didn't read anything beyond common sense advice and questionable opinions.

This book is just a collection of cribbed inspirational speeches you could find from any coach before a high school sports event or from a support group therapy pamphlet. It's full of banal platitudes and generic rah-rah that doesn't show or tell you how to manage transitions in the personal and professional world.
A poor read, indeed.

Say Yes Changed My Life,

This review is from: Say Yes to Change: 25 Keys to Winning in Times of Transition (Hardcover)
After a divorce, I was a broken spirit. I found the book: Say Yes to Change! Thank God for that book. I was feeling hopeless and this book gave me 25 Keys to integrate into my life. Now I am back on track. I have worked through this book very methodically and found real change in my life. Currently, I use the book as a reference, although I plan to work through each key again to take my life to an even higher level. I want to caution you, it is work. But if you keep an open mind and seriously go through the exercises, real change will occur in your personal and professional life. In my case, it is change for the better. I went from a clerk in a little motorcycle shop to a corporate trainer/consultant. Plus, I have 2 other businesses I run on the side. I also went from an empty social calendar to a very full calendar. I went from being despondent to having real purpose in my life. Thank you Sedena and George! I give this book 5 stars!

The 23rd key in the Cappanneli's work is "Take (Almost) Nothing Seriously". I agree with this but I'm glad they put in "Almost" because I believe we should all take this book seriously. Everyone is facing change and Say Yes to Change is chocked full of insightful and practical information to help us ride the waves of change with poise and grace. George and Sedena have years of experience helping individuals and organizations through important transitions. Their experience, captured in this work, can be of benefit to "almost" anyone. If you don't take the right basic steps - all the time in the world is irrelevant, your foundation will be shakey, and it's virtually impossible to stay successful and keep growing. Let the Cappinnelli's "Say Yes To Change" help you focus on basic-step tune ups so that life changes consistently empower and motivate you to new levels. No matter how successful you are in life, you deserve more so you can become more and give back more to the world. Muhammad Ali once said, "Service is the rent I pay for my little room here on earth." Serve yourself first by picking up the book and doing the simple yet elegant exercises and you'll find yourself changed about how you deal with change. Then serve others by picking up a few copies for your employees, your friends, and your family. I did!- MACK LEE, Businessman, Investor, Poet, Motivational Speaker, and Author of the soon to be released "Stake Your Claim, Manifest Your Destiny - NOW!"

I purchased the book this week and could hardly put it down. A really great book and I am going back now to do the exercises as I couldn't quit reading to stop for them the first time around. I would recommend this book for anyone going through changes now or who wants to be ready and welcome change in their lives. I am a realtor, own my own blanket and pot business with my husband and my husband and I own a cattle business as well as investment business. This will really help me. Sincerely, Julie Gottsponer, Sandbar Trading, Wichita, Kansas
