5.0 out of 5 stars Talk about two stories in one!!
I absolutely loved this story. I love it when a man drops everything to be with his woman. Okay, so it took Jordan a while to figure it out, but he did eventually! I love how Jordon and Christian met and fall in love. I liked the fact that the story did not focus on the past but on the present, but gave us just enough of the couple's history for us to have a good...

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible..
I hated this book. It took me almost a month to finish reading this boring mess. I read a newer story by Ms. Byrd and I loved it. I figured her earlier stuff must be good because the reviews were phenomenal. This book was a boring love story with black women blushing and crying tooooooo much. I have her orange book (can't remember the name) but it goes on the back...

5.0 out of 5 stars Talk about two stories in one!!, November 16, 2000
I absolutely loved this story. I love it when a man drops everything to be with his woman. Okay, so it took Jordan a while to figure it out, but he did eventually! I love how Jordon and Christian met and fall in love. I liked the fact that the story did not focus on the past but on the present, but gave us just enough of the couple's history for us to have a good understanding of why the couple isn't doing so well in the present! I loved all the characters in this story. Alex, Malcolm, Rosa, and Noah were great. Alex and Malcolm's story was the little extra that made this book, in my eyes, the bomb! The development of each story was great. And the ending was the best and very touching. I cried!! I loved it and I hope you like it to because it teaches us to forgive each other, put our pride aside, living our lives to the fullest, to always communicate with our loved ones, and to never ever put anything before the ones we love! Always remember, love conquers all!! Nice work Byrd!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Follow-Up Story, January 4, 2000

(REAL NAME)
Say You Love Me is the follow up to I Promise.

Christian felt her husband (Jordan) of 15 years was neglecting her. He would always forget important dates, like anniversaries and birthdays. When she reminded him, he would always shower her with gifts. She didn't want that. She wanted HIM.

Jordan was successful at running his software company. He had broken any communication with his father because he did not want to be a part of the family business.

This story Say You Love Me is just what the title says. Sometimes it just takes you to say the words I LOVE YOU. It has so many lessons in it. I was so glad that there were old wounds that were healed in this story. I am glad his twin brother Malcom and Alex finally got together.

It was sad that there father died, but at least he died with a smile on his face, because he righted some of his wrongs with his children Jordan and Malcom. Again this is a good story. If you have not read it, please do so.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed The Finale', March 13, 2000
If you like novels that deal with the ups and downs of marriage, this is one to read. Thanks Ms Byrd for bringing the sequel that includes Christian, Jordan, Alex and Malcolm. The story has both the seriousness and the intimacy which I truly like in a story. The book is a very easy read, very enjoyable and heartwarming. Some of my other favorite books by this author: I Promise, Forget Me Not and Defenseless.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love is Worth the Fight, October 12, 2009

This review is from: Say You Love Me (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
Novelist Christian Williams has a flourishing career and a successful husband, Jordan. Married fifteen years, she's had enough of being second-best to her husband's business. She decides her only option is to request a divorce and move on with her life. While mending her broken heart at her childhood home in Texas she realizes it may be more difficult than she planned.

Businessman, Jordan Williams has worked hard to make his software business the thriving success it has become and to prove his disapproving father wrong. While doing so he causes a rift in his marriage that he may not be able to mend. He'll stop at nothing to get his wife back where she belongs; with him, in his arms and heart.

SAY YOU LOVE ME by Adrianne Byrd is a heart-wrenching and warming tale of love that she narrates with emotion. She's able to keep the reader's attention with dramatic scenes; and describes the characters and romance with ease and passion. I enjoyed this read and would definitely read again.

This sequel was beautiful. I cried at the end. I wasn't prepared for it, but couldn't see it written any other way. Well done, Ms. Byrd.

Say you love me is the story of Christian and Jordan. Christian feels like Jordan puts more time until his work instead of with her, so she decides to leave for awhile and he goes after her. They had been trying but being unlucky to have a baby. When Christian finally gets pregnant, she has a tough choice to make.

5.0 out of 5 stars Words of Beauty, August 30, 2000

Once you open up "Say You Love Me", you will not be able to put it down. I finished the book in 24 hours. With each movement of my eyes, unfolded more beauty in Adrianne's writings. I've already ordered "Loves Deception". I can hardly wait to read it. You have a fan for life. Among my favorites are "I Promise" and "Defenseless".

I thought the book was extraordinarily written. It makes you feel as though you have a close relationship with all the characters. It kept me on my toes from the beginning to the end. Although it had a sad part to it, the overall book was excellent.

4.0 out of 5 stars I enjoyed this book, May 21, 2011
This review is from: Say You Love Me (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
The is the sequel to the book I promise. The book picks up 15 years later- with marital problems. I like the fact that the Ms. Byrd gives you a recap of the 1st story to connect the dots. The book focused on rekindling love, forgiveness, and somethings are just ment to be despite the hurddles. I enjoyed this book. Its a must read
