5.0 out of 5 stars Great Spice
Yet another great single from The Spice Girls. They had a string of hits from 1997 to 2000.Its amazing how many hits they had in such a short period of time. This is another i often listen to.They weren't around for very long, but they did produce some classic songs.

versus
3.0 out of 5 stars A decent single....
For the Spice Girls, that is. The lead track was a very good song, and a strong single, but the Spice album went down from there. The only reason to buy this is the instumental version, if you are a huge fan. The B-side is boring, and the remix is really nothing but drums.

Overall grade
10/10 for the song
5.10 for the extras

5.0 out of 5 stars I Have A Different Version..., May 15, 2003
I have a U.S. version of this single, but it's different. It only has the song "Say You'll Be There" and the song "Take Me Home" and that's it! Oh well. Say You'll Be There is a great song, one of my all time favorite Spice Girls songs. Actually it probably is my favorite Spice tune ever! Take Me Home is another really good song. It's a bit of a darker pop tune, but it's still really good. This is a great purchase. I am trying to collect Spice Girls singles, and this is one of the first ones I bought (since I started collecting). It's a great buy! Highly recommended. Especially with so many used ones for such low prices! ENJOY!!!!!

Say You'll Be There is an awsome song.I play the Spice Girls a bit. Some of there songs were exceptional. That Mel C has an awsome voice, and i think i have a crush on Geri.Great to see this band is getting back together for what looks to be a massive tour,it may even include Australia. They weren't around for very long, but they did produce some classic songs.

I don't own a copy of this album, but my friend does so I have heard all of the tracks. Say You'll Be There is not my favorite Spice Girls song, but Take Me Home, the other song on this album is one of my all-time favorites. Overall, this single is GREAT and definetly worth the money.

This is my FAVORITE Spice Girls song...it's a Classicz! It has such fun music and lyrics...and the Harmonica's are Great! It's not to bubbleygum ("Wannabe", "Spice Up Your Life") and it's not too slow ("2 Become 1, "Too Much"). It wasn't they're most *popular* song to date but it's my Favorite and is up there with some of their best songs. Geri Halliwell sings lead on this one and does a good job. The girls even "rap" a little bit. I Saw their performance on "Saturday Night Live" and it was cool...and no they don't lip synch! I give it an A+!

5.0 out of 5 stars Their best single ever, February 27, 2002
This review is from: Say You'll Be There [UK CD1] (Audio CD)
This song effortlessly blends the best elements of disco, dance, and r&b. The vocals on it are the best of their first album. Geri Halliwell's leading vocals are even good...she's usually a bit flat, but the other girls manage to lift her up a half-step. This was an enormous hit in the UK and deservedly so. It's one of the more perfect examples of pop from the 1990s. It is destined to become a classic.

The Spice Girls are really great! After the smash hit "Wannabe", another hit has surprised the world. It's "Say You'll Be There"! This catchy never-to-be-underestimated song clearly denotes Girl Power with all its might. Let me give you a run down of the CD's tracks: 1. Say You'll Be There (Single Mix) --- it's a really fabulous one! Don't forget to dance and kick like Sporty! 2.Take Me Home --- the most excellent b-side of the Spice Girls! It's kinda like "Naked" but something like "Too Much". The lyrics are very sexy and fantastic! It's a great one! 3. Say You'll Be There (Junior's Main Pass) --- a great remix! It's 8 minutes and 33 seconds of club dancing and grooving! 4. Say You'll Be There (Instrumental) --- a great way to sing along with the Girls while in the shower or at the car! You can sing to it whatever you want! There it is! One of the greatest Spice Girls' recordings ever made! Be sure to buy it before it's too late!

4.0 out of 5 stars A COOL HIT SINGLE BY EVERYONE'S FAVORITE BAND, April 17, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Say You'll Be There [UK CD1] (Audio CD)
The Spice Girls returned from their double platinum, #1 for 7 weeks in the UK, smash hit "Wannabe." "Say You'll Be There" is the second single from the album "Spice" and packs a punch with a catchy pop beat. It also features an exclusive B-Side, "Take Me Home." This single shows that the Spice Girls are here to stay for a while and are not the one-hit-wonder many thought they were because of "Wannabe's" huge success. Let's have a little synopsis of the single, shall we?

1) SAY YOU'LL BE THERE (SINGLE MIX)- This #1 for 3 weeks hit packs a punch with it's catchy beat. It is mainly pop, but incorporates some rap into it. It is a good song which is likely to be a hit to be remembered for a long time by the Spice Girls.

2) TAKE ME HOME- The B-Side from this single which tunes along a slow beat. All 5 girls display good vocals here, some better than others. This song is the type to just sit back and relax to.

3) SAY YOU'LL BE THERE (JUNIOR'S MAIN PASS)- Junior Vasquez does his debut mix with the Spice Girls (not counting the unreleased club mix on the "Wannabe" promo single). This mix is about 8 minutes long and really packs a punch onto the original song.

4) SAY YOU'LL BE THERE (INSTRUMENTAL)- This song displays no vocals at all, which is good if you want to hear the beat only. It sounds very different without the vocals and can be just kind of a sit back and talk without being distracted by the Spice Girls.

All in all, with the punchy beat of "Say You'll Be There" contrasting the slow, mellow tone of "Take Me Home," and then having a dance mix of the song following an instrumental, this single can be alot of fun, so pick one up now.

I enjoy listening to the English girls sing this one. The scene from the movie brought me to this. Raw and girly.
