If you like Japanese culture and jokes, you will love Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei, the adventures of a perpetually depressed teacher and his odd assortment of students. This manga is not for the casual reader; you really have to have some background knowledge of Japanese popular culture and enjoy satire. The drawing style is clean and edgy; the characters are more archetypal that individual, but it is a fun read and visually stimulating.
