Ordered this slot car at the same time as I ordered the Scalextric James Bond set. I have had slot cars since I was young and now that the grandkids are here thought it would be nice to introduce them to a hobby not seen too often in the age of video games. I was blown away at how fast the new cars are and how well they handle. Scalextric makes durable beautifully detailed cars especially the F1 models {I have a Honda F1 also, which for whatever reason is slightly faster}.The two Aston Martins that came with the James Bond set are also very realistic with the modern Aston a bit faster.One thing I would recommend is that anyone ordering a Scalextric race set to also order another transformer {#C996 for the U.S.and Canada about $20}as the cars are faster when each track has it's own and power is more consistant.Simple plug in,flip a switch and ready to go. For ages 8 and up but with adult supervision could be a bit younger.
