5.0 out of 5 stars Great book March 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition with Audio/Video|Verified Purchase
I was going to buy Criss Angel's new book "I'm Not Fake" but decided against it, instead buying Brian Bushwood's new Scam School book. Full disclosure: Brian is a close friend of my son Justin Robert Young, but I hold no bias. Already about 30 pages in and the wit and humor of this book is enough to warrant me buying another copy, if only Amazon would let me. Videos and commentary are fantastic - not too long, but enough to get some great insight into how Brian comes up with the tricks, or how they are submitted by fans. Perhaps he can do a trick some time showing his hand being cut off while in handcuffs...I'd like that. Bushwood has really taken it to a new level with this book - a first of its kind if I'm not mistaken. I'll forever carry it around and try to scam people out of drinks at the bar, never having to worry if I remember the scam or not. I also decided to pick up some light reading music for this book, so I bought Black Water (2006 Remastered).

5.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to the Sam School franchise! March 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition with Audio/Video
First, full disclosure, i am a fan of Brian Brushwood. So, this was an automatic buy for me. Now, for my honest opinion.

If you have never heard of Scam School, the premise is simple. Go to a bar. Bet a friend you can do something, they can do something, you can't do something, they can't do something. Get them to buy you a drink.

Simple, right? Then we get into the actual tricks. There are "Scams" for every level, delivery advice, video show and demonstrating the scam, and audio explaining the reasoning behind each one. So, you get the free beer, and get to sound smart. The weaving of sound, video, and text is such a great experience, thanks to catering to how we actually learn, by immersing all of our sense into the subject. Brian's precise style make sure that you will really be able to handle doing the tricks in this book, even after you have scammed that first drink.

Tricks did I say? Didn't I mention? Brian is a professional magician, doing the college circuit across the U.S. He has appeared on Letterman.

And he does a free podcast that teaches similar tricks to you. Did i mention FREE? Search for scam school to see his style of teaching for free. And, you can also watch this guy on the TWiT network, where he co-hosts other free podcasts on a weekly basis.

So, reading this book, I felt i knew what to expect. After all, this is just a rehash of his podcast, right? Boy was I surprised. With all new content, and presented in a way i have never seen before, fully imersive, this book's presentation blew my mind.

I would buy the book again, even though I don't go to bars. This book is just FUN!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sets a new bar for books March 14, 2012
By PC User
Format:Kindle Edition with Audio/Video
This is the way books of the future will be written. Words. Sounds. Movies. Use the right method at just the right time. Brian is a genius on multiple levels, his magic is great, his internet presence is growing daily, and now he shows us how to produce books.

And he has an invisible wife! What more could you ask for?

Get this book, forget the magic but study beneath the surface and learn the real magic and see the future of learning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Learn to Scam from the Best March 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition with Audio/Video|Verified Purchase
Brian Brushwood has put together such a comprehensive collection of tips, tricks, scams and crazy fun stuff that you'll feel like you came out of college with a bachelor's degree in Social Engineering after experiencing this book. I say experiencing because he's gone out of his way to do more than just write it. He includes audio commentary and video highlights that explain and actually SHOW you how this stuff works. Depending on how you're experiencing the book, you'll find these showing up as either in-book features, or as external links you can access. Either way, it's a wealth of fun that'll help you learn to be the life of the party.

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterful March 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition with Audio/Video|Verified Purchase
In his latest offering, Brian masters a deck of cards in a way comparable to Mussolini's mastering of a train schedule, only without all the killing and stuff. Great read, great idea, great book! (I mean Brian, not Mussolini)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book and professional March 14, 2012
By James
Format:Kindle Edition with Audio/Video|Verified Purchase
Let me start off by saying that this book has so much in it and at such a low price it must be a scam. But upon further research I've found it full of humor, tricks, and skills that anyone can put to the use to impress your friends, get free drinks, or just be plain mysterious. I highly recommend it.

On a side note, I had the opportunity to have dinner with this author after my University hired him for a show. Great comedian and performer and a real class act.
