Screaming Jets, "SCAM" (2000) released Australia 10/9/00Well what an album!! I think on average the 3 (nearly 4) year wait has been Worth it... The album was recorded in stints between Janaury 1999 - August 2000, and there has been a change of drummer. Some points here - Nice album cover..enyone that's going to bring up the old Astronaut scam theory & use it for a cover gets my vote!! SCAM's 14 songs document fairly well where they're at,and a good production exists...there's a nice 7/7 song split duty for both old drummer Craig Rosevear and new Drummer Colin Hatchman on the album, and while we're on the topic of album setup the song selection nicely represents the band's past and future.. A listening trip thru the CD will show all the various moods the band has gone thru over the last 3 or so years between this & the last album, - you will rock out and in places mellow out but the mellowing is only slight!! Any delay on import delivery of SCAM is worth it!!BUY!! |
