Book Description

October 1, 2005
If you walk around the street expecting to find a scammer, you'll never find one until the scammer makes a fool of you, then you will know that they exist. 'There are hours when crime pays, when stolen waters are sweet, and punishment although lame, will come.' Crimes originate from the hearts of men. Crime can lead to many circumstances such as murder, imprisonment, and death. This novel explains how the advance fee fraud is executed based on both the testimonies of victims and perpetuators. It exposes the cunning of the perpetuators and the greed of the victims. The advance fee fraud is believed to have originated in West Africa during the 1970s, otherwise called the 419 scam after the Nigeria criminal code. It has spread throughout other parts of the world in spite of warnings by various security agents. An average fraudster believes and understands the rule of the scamming game. The terrain for the game isn't a place for truth, but for dupe. The rule of the game is characterized by, love, hope, fear and faith. The fraudsters see themselves as heroes and not criminals, unless ill luck catches up with them. Even then, they never agree that they did anything wrong.

Editorial Reviews

Review

Maybe this book will make the reader beware and we can end this so called “victimless crime. -- Rosanna Filippello, author of The Angelo Mystery Series

About the Author

Stanley E. E. Asia was born in Uromi Edo State Nigeria, where he attended his primary and post primary education before he proceeded to Lautech, Oyo State to earn his degree.

Trained as an engineer, his hobbies are reading writing, teaching and adventuring.

Asia was the initiator of the People’s Diary Project â€" Volume 1, a publication, which features the biographies of eminent indigenes contributing to communities’ development.

What does he like and hate?

He likes doing things that makes people happy and hates environments that lack happiness.

When everyone says, “we don’t think it’s possible,” he will say, “Why don’t we start thinking it’s possible”

And the novel, “The Scam Traders?”

Making reality from a tale is a little bit complex. It is like making an egg from an omelet, but making a tale from reality is much easier, like making an omelet from an egg.

The scammer creates a scene and sets the game, greed joins the scene, plays the game, and hence becomes a victim.

The novel creates another scene, to make a scammer a victim and a victim a scammer.

This Author is already working on another novel, and hopes to write more tales from reality.

5.0 out of 5 stars IF YOU'RE TIRED OF "SCAMS" THIS BOOK IS A "MUST" READ!, November 14, 2005
This review is from: The Scam Traders (Paperback)
Who among us is not tired of all the scam artists in the world--those crooks who come up with all kinds of shrewd ideas to separate us from our hard-earned money?

In this age of electronic communication, people are especially susceptible to this type of invasion. These scam artists are masters of their games and will try to "get at us" via telephone, TV, and the Internet (WorldWideWeb). The elderly and young are especially vulnerable (and gullible), as we all know, but even the smartest among us have been tricked (conned) at one time or another.

The author of this book is to be commended for exposing the techniques these scammers use--in an effort to teach the public how to protect themselves.

An intriguing book! A worthwhile investment!
