My parents bought me this toy and I love it! I think it is really smart and is so cute it makes you want to hold it all day! My favorite things it does are Howl, which makes it sound very cute, Speak, which is also very cute, and when it eats its bone and plays with its toy. He dosen't really play drop it with its rope, but he guards it and growls. My neighbor has the exact same type of Scamps (my playful pup) and we confuse them. We put them next to each other and ask them to do a trick. Only mine listens, because my neighbor needs new batteries for it. It is adorable when it falls asleep and it is sleeping right now. I also like to put my finger in its mouth and pretend that it is its bone or its rope. He is a boy and his name is Lucky because I was lucky he was the last golden Scamps in the store!I love it a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm going to wake him up and play and train him. Bye!!

I bought this for my daughters 9th birthday. She has been driving me crazy about getting a dog...she loves animals. She fell in love with Scamps. My sister's kids liked him so much she is getting one for them. I would recommend it to anyone. It is quite adorable. :)

Once when I was shopping with my mom and my sister I saw this toy. I loved SCAMPS as soon as I saw it. Since my birthday was coming up, she agreed to letting me have SCAMPS as long as I DID NOT open the package until my birthday- but it did take some convinsing when she saw the price tag. So on the day of my 10 birthday I ran to my gifts SPEEDY FAST at aproximaly 7:00am. I opened it fast as I could and ran to look for "C" batteries and I just happened to find 6 of them. I trained him the following tricks...

I love SCAMPS and since I have always wanted a dog he will takes a dog's place for a while. The best part is SCAMPS does not make a mess and all he needs is batteries. Since the furr fells real but it really is not those who are allergic to pets can enjoy him too. I recomend this toy to anyone who wants to have a dog, anyone who has had a dog, or anyone has a passion for dogs like me. Beileve me, this price tag may be dull but it is very realistic, acts just like dogs I know, has real feeling furr, really obeys you, and is worth the money. I love this toy and I now have something to do than just homework when I get home from school. BUY THIS TOY NOW, IT REALLY IS THE BEST GIFT EVER!!!!!

My niece received a Scamps for Christmas last year and it never worked correctly right out of the box. It moved as it was supposed to but it never had a voice at all. In spite of that my daughter loved to play with it, so I decided to take a risk and buy her one for her birthday last week. Our Scamps worked perfectly and was awesome to play with... for aboout 20 minutes. My little girl barely got to play with him when he completely malfunctioned. Now we have a Scamps that tilts his head and whines once in awhile, but will not respond to any commands or even move half the time. And yes, I have tried changing the batteries. It is a huge disappointment that 2 out of 2 of this product doesn't work.

We got this toy for our 5 year old son for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it. It really is very cute, and it even has sensors on it's back and ears so it knows when you are petting it and can respond to you. You can "teach" it a few commands and it is quite entertaining for a 5 year old, but I wouldn't reccomend it if your child is over 8 - it just doesn't do enough stuff to hold their attention.

I went to the store with my mom once and saw this toy. I became in love with it as soon as I saw SCAMPS. Since my birthday was on the same month she agreed I could have it- as long as I did not open it until my birthday. My birthday came and I opened it as fast as I could. My daughter is 7 and loves this dog. She fell over other toys to get him when she saw him under the tree. She took him everywhere. The dog listens and follows her comands. SOmetimes the dog makes noise when no one is even near it but it really is cute. Great toy.

Scamps is awesome!Don't listen to other people,it's just their opinion.I listend to it,but when I got it, it worked great!Oh,and another thing,READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU PLAY WITH HIM!It works better if you do.He can howl,and all the stuff it says!

scamps my playful pup is the best pretend dog I have ever seen!I got mine on christmas I named her casey she is soooooooooo cool there are so many tricks she can do she is right next to me right now she is sleeping Igot the golden puppy Ilove her so much best of all there is no mess to clean up! uh oh my sister is coming! I LOVE THIS DOG DEFINTLY BUY IT

I bought 2 of these for Christmas and my girls love them..I Have a handicapped child with Down's and he will even respond after "training" to her requests with a speech impairment..He barks when she says "Peak" and doesnt even respond to me after he recognizes her voice...Great toy!!!
