I recently purchased "Scandalicious", and I have to say I enjoyed every bit of it. I picked it up from the post office Saturday, cracked it open upon returning home and could not put it down until the end. This book kept me interested and wanting to know what was to follow. It felt like reality with all the scandal we see in the entertainment/real world today. There was not one single dull moment from the beginning to the end of this book. I would suggest this book to all who love books well put together, with characters you can relate to, and mixed with a little wildness to keep you on the edge of your seat. I look forward to reading future books by Mr. Armani Williams because I now know I won't be dissappointed. I suggest you all go get your copy as well, you won't be disappointed!

Format: Paperback
When Tamika Bishop, the gorgeous Real-Housewives-of-Atlanta-type spouse of Teddy Bishop, a handsome, virile, wealthy, NBA superstar, walks in on her hunky hubby sexing down her younger brother in the basement of their multi-million dollar mansion, all hell breaks loose in Armani Williams' wild and raucous, laugh out loud, too sexy-for-my-shirt debut novel Scandalicious.

And that's only the beginning. After the Distressed Diva shoots off a barrage of expletive-laced damnations, a few pistol shots, and threatens castration, she makes good on her promise to out her celebrity husband in the media by going on the top nationally syndicated radio talk show of Neicy Ross, an even more tacky version of Wendy Williams, and spills the tea on her man in delicious detail, much to the shrill delight of radio show host Neicy and her hungry listening audience, only for the accused husband to come on the show and dish a trash truck full of dirt of his own, which ultimately results in the outing of a major rap star, some hot and heavy lesbian action, a suicide, divorce, paternity claims and even murder.

By the time we get to the second half of the book, things have calmed down a bit, but are no less smoldering, as our ball-bouncing superstar finds himself and true love, handles his viciously homophobic/psychopathic brother, and goes from a self-centered self-hater, to a hero whose inside ultimately grows as beautiful as the hunky frame he lives within.

Scandalicious is truly all that and a bag of chips. Author Armani Williams' writing style is unadorned, but effective, as his sexual descriptions are sure to keep your damp cloth busy, and his ghetto fabulous dialogue rocks and rolls between the outlandish and the hysterical.

232 Pages - Reads like 180 pages

Slugline: Teddy and Tamika seem to be a happy couple, a star basketball player and his trophy wife, they bark of having the life they've dreamed of, but when both are exposed of their extramarital affairs with partners they've chosen of the same sex, it's truly time to see in the heat of conflict just who's bite is actually stronger.

After reading this, I didn't quite deem it as another DL story. Instead, I found it to be more of a story about building, ending, and repairing relationships as well as the lengths individuals will go for folks that they love or are in love with.

Sometimes when I read books, I'm introduced to so many characters that I often wonder where half of them came from. This wasn't the case in this story. Each character brought in was well-introduced as well as his connection to the plot. I also got a full understanding of the relationship between him/her and other characters.
The physical descriptions of each are very vivid and the personalities fully developed.

The story is quite solid. One thing that I did note was that certain scenes went quite quickly while others went on for pages. For example, certain interviews took up most of the chapter, but the catastrophic results created by them were summed up in mere paragraphs.
I do understand this style of writing, however, and refer to it as being of the Hollywood code, where the writer's story actually plays out like a movie, and I must agree it has excellent potential to do just that.

The dialogue of the story is probably its strongest elements, I found it natural, witty, and entertaining. The writer truly knows how to capture a true conversation.

Scandalicious is a must read! I started reading the book the moment it came to me in the mail. The book is not long, easy to read and easy to follow. The author, Mr. Armani Williams is also is very detailed with every description from the characters appearances in the book to every room in the mansion the main character, Teddy Bishop resides. This book offers steamy love scenes right along with some unexpected revelations that will keep you at the edge of your seat. I think this book would make for great movie. If this book is ever made into a movie I will definately go see it.
