"Scandalous" has always been a good ballad with a jazzy beat and R&B sexuality. In this single, the song is separated into three parts. "The Crime" is the song over an intimate meeting with Kim Basinger ("Vicki Vale"). It's not X-rated, but the sighs do suggest more than just talk is going on. "The Passion" is a slight remix with added vocals to give it more of an old time soul feel than before. "The Rapture" is an unconventional dub that famous guitar style, which helped, pack a "Pow!" to the "Batman" Soundtrack. "Sex" is a cool b-side of light funk that really was Prince's sound around the time. It should have been on the album. "When 2 R In Love" is a sexy ballad from "Lovesexy". It has a great old time R&B feel.

In all a nice collectable single with a few extras, but don't look for some kind of dance version to the song. The 3 parts of the song are complementary to each other and click well. A good timepiece of his cool 1989 sound which is very unique and misunderstood

This is essentially a 19 minute remix of "Scandalous" from the Batman soundtrack, although it's broken up into three "movements". Lots of extra stuff in this version, including saxophone playing by Eric Leeds and "pillow talk" by Kim Basinger. The "b-side" is "Sex", which is a great song that wasn't included on Prince's "The B-Sides" CD. The final song is "When 2 R in Love", a great ballad from the Lovesexy album. Prince fans should get off on this CD.

...turn out the lights, light some candles, chill some wine, put the Scandalous Sex Suite in your disc player... This is a great little EP - it's basically a 30 minute version of the song Scandalous with some great extra verses and a little "background vocals" (mainly moaning and groaning) from Kim Basinger. It's a great listen and great background music for bedtime activities.

this is a great maxi single with different versions of the "Scandalous" hit from the Batman era. :) I love Prince!

About 10 years ago, a friend of mine allowed me to "just lay down and listen to it." I was overwhelmed. I had to make a copy on tape. Every person that I have allowed to hear it since then has begged for a copy of it. For those who are romantic and erotically inclined, you will have a chance to ... her/him; they will have the chance to... you; you both will have the chance to ... each other. Then when you are done, you can relax and listen to the rest of the music. Its rare and its worth more than the asking price. (raises eyebrow) "Trust me..."

I've always loved Prince, but I didn't know homeboy had this out! The track #5:When 2 R In Love; Is timeless and awesome. This track definetly should had some radio play. Truly a wonderful CD for lovers!

I'M A BIG FAN OF PRINCE....THIS SCANDELOUS CD IS VERY HOT!!! GREAT FOR ANY ROMANTIC INTERLUDE!!

This is a must have for anyone who wants to clean up their apartment/home, put on a little incense, invite that special someone over, and create some ambiance. This is from the Batman era of 1988/89. I know a lot of people have heard prince's "Insatiable" but not "Scandalous". You are getting a raw deal. This song was on the Batman Soundtrack (the first one) and is by far one of the most sensual yet tasteful songs you will EVER hear. It is rare finds like this and impossible finds like "A Place In Heaven" that make prince a legend if NOTHING ELSE. This CD is an extended version that plays all the way through, but has breaks in it (Thank God! His Lovesexy album is runs as one song. I had to recut the song in Cool Edit Pro to make it into different songs. Otherwise, you couldn't skip from song to song!)This one has some great saxaphone playing, a great cameo from Batman star Kim Bassinger, and will definitely "set that mood" for doing "you know what".

THe melody here is classic.together with Kim Bassinger Scandalous gets a whole different vibe&Feeling.I really dug the Guitar&Sly Stone Inspired Talk Box Part.The Horn of Eric Leeds was Hitting.When 2 are in Love&Sex don't really compare after the long Version of Scandalous.it's a Trip out take.
