3.0 out of 5 stars (RAW Rating: 2.5) - Royal Love, March 4, 2010
By
The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers (RAWSISTAZ.com and BlackBookReviews.net) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Scandalous (Kindle Edition)
Twins Dorian Tobias and Adrian Stone look identical but their personalities are as different as night and day. Dorian, a news reporter in their hometown of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, is practical and sarcastic, while Adrian, an author of interracial romances, is sexy, loves to travel, and lives life on the edge. But, when Adrian gets into deep trouble faraway from home, Dorian sets out to find her sister and bring her home.

Viscount Stuart Westlake of England isn't a stranger to the tabloids all over the world. The tabloids are saturated with photographs and stories of his illicit affairs or roguish behavior. When his love interest Adrian, was taken away, he thought he would never see her again. So, on the night of a party he stares in awe at his beautiful Adrian standing before him or is it really her? And is he willing to give up everything to be with her?

SCANDALOUS is a raw, sexy, and suspenseful tale of two people from different worlds, who find love under the strangest circumstance. The images of Dorian and Stuart and the scenes of England's countryside are easily visualized from the descriptive words written by Alexis. However, the repetition of a swollen appendage every other page and a need of better editing caused my interest to plummet.

3.0 out of 5 stars London Scandal via Romance, March 8, 2010
This review is from: Scandalous (Kindle Edition)
Adrian Tobias-Stone is considered one the leading romance writers. If you asked her what inspired her writing, she would tell you it all comes from first-hand experience. So when she tells her twin, Dorian, that she is headed to England to meet Stuart Westlake, Dorian thinks she is out of her mind. Stuart is a notorious playboy and Adrian is about to start something she cannot finish. Renee Alexis' Scandalous takes readers on an adventure thru England's country as Dorian sets out to find what happened to her twin.

Alexis short story is intriguing and full of suspense. The description of England was breathtaking; however, portions of the story dragged and became redundant. Towards the end, I found myself reading only to finish the story and not in hopes of a happy ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars R's Goods, December 21, 2009
This review is from: Scandalous (Kindle Edition)
Scandalous is excellent. I was glad it was the first on my new Kindle. It's a funny read and filled with mystery and yes, lots of love. I love interracial romances and for anyone else who likes them, this is certainly your book. It's more like an adventure taking the reader from the states to Europe and its a wild ride the entire time. And the hero, oh, so hot!!! Get Scandalous--its more fun than you think!

More About the Author

Renee Alexis has been writing romance and erotic romance for nearly five years. Though she didn't start out writing romance, she has definitely found a home for it in the writing world. Being a lover of horror, she found it 'weird' that she wasn't lead to writing that kind of fiction. Writing romance was a total surprise. Other hobbies and fun things she loves doing is watching baseball, eating chocolate, vegging-out whenever possible (she teaches 1st grade--very tiresome but rewarding)and making gemstone jewelry. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, she loves the excitement of urban living and can be found dancing to rock, soul and anything that sounds good to her at any of the outdoor festivals and concerts in downtown Detroit. She loves to be contacted by fans at: renee_alexis@yahoo.com
