The 2-liter fondue pot is safe for the oven (up to 500 degrees) or stove (except induction) and includes a heat-resistant tempered glass cover, a stainless steel base with burner, 6 numbered fondue forks, and a stainless steel collar insert for holding the forks. The ergonomic, phenolic pressure-cast aluminum handles have no screws or rivets to come loose over years of steady use. Food releases perfectly from the set, which cleans easily in your dishwasher. This is a beautifully designed and crafted fondue set. It uses denatured alcohol which is available at Ace hardware and has no unpleasant characteristics; and it is inexpensive. The size is just right for our family of four, but I would imagine it would accommodate more diners. We just had our first "weekly fondue night" and it was delightful and delicious.
