On the Missy Higgins EP, I felt like the two non-album tracks were there because the quality of the songs didn't match what did make the album. I don't feel the same about these excellent tracks.

Casualty - This track most likely is not on the Sound of White album because the sound is so different from anything on the album it just would not have fit in. The jazzy sound of this song really shows off her voice.

Dancing Dirt Into the Snow - No clue how this didn't make the album. It's possible it was written after the album came out. The songwriting on this piano driven track is top-notch, as it is on most of Sound of White.

The Catcus That Found the Beat - This is a piano driven jazzy song that just wouldn't have sounded in place with the rest of Sound of White. I've heard her sing this live, and it's silly song, but a lot of fun.

All in all, getting three great non-album tracks on this EP makes it something worth picking up. In addition, if you don't already own Sound of White, Scar is one of the stronger songs on her full length album.
