What a fun plant! Growing well - and the animals avoid it and any plants close by. The seller sent it promptly and transported it well. All plants in good condition when received.

These plants are very hardy and they were packed to be delivered in an amazing way and all were in excellent shape when they were received. I planted them in areas where cats roamed and even put one in front of my car where they would jump on the hood and leave footprints everywhere. At first these plants did not seem to work as I saw a cat sitting right next to one grrrr but now they are working apparantly as my car stays pawprint-free.

I don't know about the other animals but this has worked for cats. I had several stray and neighborhood cats that are ruining my flowerbeds. So I bought just one plant to see if it worked. It is hard to believe but it does. They have continued to disturb the areas where I have not yet put one of these plantst. But at the entrance to my back door where I always have an array of beautiful summer flowers in potted plants, they have left the plants alone. When the plant arrived, it was very small and I wondered if it was large enough to work. But I just set it in the pot it arrived in, inside another clay pot with dirt and since then, none of the other plants have been disturbed. The area is about 10 by 10 but it has worked. I know it is supposed to have a larger range than that but my yard is broken up into several smaller areas that prevent me from taking advantage of the over all distance this plant is to cover. So for now, I am not able to address the distance that this plant is able to effect. It has been a couple months and the plant has grown but still no trouble with cats coming and nesting in my potted plants. This plant is a miracle worker. I am going to order one for my front yard, for the terraced area along my drive way and for my terraced area in my back yard. The cats come and dig holes and make a mess. I can straighten up after them and turn around the next morning and they will have come right behind me and messed it up again. It is one crazy world when you can't get your city to come do anything about the stray cat problem but if you were to do harm to the cat, they will sure come after you. One crazy world when an animal has more rights than a human being.

I puchased this plant in the hope that it would keep stray pitbulls and large house cats out of my yard and gardens. This plant worked great! Since the first day I sat it on my patio all the neighborhood dogs and cats stayed out of my yard. It was such a relief to be able to just bounce out the door without being leary of someones animal in my driveway or patio, sitting there growling at me as if I were the intruder. However, it snowed last night and I noticed the frost and snow killed my plant. Pity I did not bring it in before the weather and temperature change. This plant is an annual and does not survive cold fall and winter temperatures. I will be ordering another of these next summer. If I can find some seeds, I will start some plants, in the house, over the winter months. I have plenty of sunny window space to accommodate a new planting. This plant really works and is very reasonably priced. I would definately recommend it as a deterent to strays invading you space.

the plants came in a timely manner, were in good shape and are growing nicely. Am not sure that it repels cats, dogs and bunnies, but time will tell!

Ok I was searching for seeds to try to grow my own so i could plant them around my house to try to keep the strays away from the perimeter which makes my male begin to spay like he was never fixed and came across a Garden page on the web that states that this is an old wives tale and is not true, but that the plant does produce a skunky odor. All I can say is it is very much true and here was my blind test. I had a poor schefflera indoors that became the go to liter box at least as taking a pee was concerned I had tried the Hot Cayenne Pepper powder and a few other supposed cat repellers and it did not work so in frustration and after many re-plantings trying to save the Scheff and our noses I bought 3 of these and planted them right in with the thing in the same pot, the cats never got into it again, CASE CLOSED. In my opinion they work great.

Arrived in great condition. I immediately put these little guys out in my planters where the cats insist on laying down. To my suprise the cats still come and they actually lay next to the plants.
As far as keeping the cats away because of the smell it hasn't worked so far. But on the other hand I do have some new nice plants.

This is an intriguing plant. I bought it too keep the neighbor's cats from pooping on my lawn. It helps, but certainly doesn't do as much as I had hoped. And I have them lining my property perimeter. Maybe as they get larger, they'll do more.
