Scared Sh*tless: 1,003 Facts That Will Scare the Sh*t Out of You by Cary McNeal is an entertaining collection of facts, some of which will amaze and amuse you and some of which will horrify you. This is a follow-up book to McNeal's bestselling 1,001 Facts that Will Scare the S#*t Out of You: The Ultimate Bathroom Reader. Chapter topics include scary facts about celebrities, ordinary people, frightening places on earth, dangerous animals, our bodies, and sex. The source for each fact is documented in a list at the end of the book.

Anyone who enjoys reading trivia books, especially amusing trivia books, will love this book. McNeal's humorous comments are interspersed throughout providing comic relief from the list of sometimes bizarre and frightening truths we all live with. McNeal's witticisms catch the reader off guard and are a source of delight. Elvis, serial killers, cats, bacon, clowns, and honey badgers are just a few of the fun subjects covered by the facts in this book. There's definitely something for everyone. This book is great to take along with you to read a few pages at a time while riding the bus or while waiting in the doctor's office. It would make a great gift for friends and family members too. Fans of McNeal's previous books and those who follow his popular humor blog "List of the Day" won't be disappointed.

If you didn't catch the title, I've got ADHD and it's very hard to just sit down and read any old thing. So why not read EVERYTHING AT ONCE? And that's what this book is for. My only complaint is that i finished it. :(

Great read. Very interesting. This should be taught at our schools. Maybe more people would be informed about the world.

I laughed, I cried...o.k. I didn't cry, but I did laugh--and I learned a lot of strange facts. If you long to be the Cliff Clavin of your world, get this book. Cary McNeal must have spent 1,003 hours digging up these crazy factoids! You might think this is a good bathroom read (given the title), but I like to keep it on my coffee table. It makes for interesting conversations. It was a quick, entertaining and absorbing read I highly recommend.
