5.0 out of 5 stars Basso Cantatas with awe-inspiring
I've seen and listened Peter Fried as Bluebeard in Opera de Lyon, and he was fantastic.
I've got this album from my husband .
After the first moments I felt ,
that on this Cd the music and the bass voice meets in wonderful harmony.
The arias are performed with full emotional feelings by the singer.

1.0 out of 5 stars ABOMINATION!!! AN AMATEURISH 'VOCE NOIOSA'!!!
I cannot believe it!!! Is it a professional bass singer?!!!!!
I have never listened a more amauterish sound in this repertoire, and without any kind of intimacy. This guy sings off pitch all the time, I mean, out of the tonal center, and with a monotonous tone, without color, without life!!!!
It won't allow you to sleep, since the voice itself is UGLY to...

This review is from: Scarlatti: Cantatas for bass & obbligato instruments (Audio CD)

The arias are performed with full emotional feelings by the singer.
I know ,that the other A.Scarlatti's works,
which are written for soprano,or alt voices,
are much more virtuoses.
These canata's texts mostly are about the love,
and this bass voice is full of awe-inspirings feelings and colors.
So ,I offer it for to have, and to spent a pleasant pastime!!!

I have never listened a more amauterish sound in this repertoire, and without any kind of intimacy. This guy sings off pitch all the time, I mean, out of the tonal center, and with a monotonous tone, without color, without life!!!!
It won't allow you to sleep, since the voice itself is UGLY to death!!! And what a terrible diction!!!
Why to record this guy? Why?!!!!!!
I cannot believe there is not in Hungary (or somewhere else) a singer with better qualification and a truly respectable sound. Not this unsteady sound. You know, he is just gargling marble!! Why not someone like Laszlo Polgár? I'm sure he could sing it exceptionally.
I cannot recommend it. I won't listen to this disc again, and I'm deeply upset. It's a suffering experience! Poor guy...this only happens because someone in the past was not honest. This guy could choose another line of work...
And shame on Hungaroton!!!!
It`s a pity, for the repertoire in this disc is given in a world premiere recording...
