5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, comfortable shoes.
I found out about these in a Herrington catalog. I've never ordered shoes online so I was a bit hesitant. I have wide feet so finding comfortable shoes can be a hassle. These are VERY comfortable. They have a thick padded tongue and a really high quality insert. Usually the first thing I do with new shoes is buy my own inserts. I think these ones will be fine and dandy...

3.0 out of 5 stars Very narrow and runs smaller than labeled
Very nice construction and stylish. I tried these out in a size larger than I normally wear and they are still too small. I will have to send them back and order a full size larger than what I normally wear. Even barefoot, these were tight all around. With a sock, they rub very tightly on the forward part of my foot. They really need to make them wider. I wear a 10 medium...

They have a thick padded tongue and a really high quality insert. Usually the first thing I do with new shoes is buy my own inserts. I think these ones will be fine and dandy. They are rather pricey shoes but it seems that scarpa is a well respected outdoor climbing shoe company so I expect to get years of use out of these puppies. They seem to be true to size. I was worried they'd be too small or too big.

4.0 out of 5 stars Extremely stylish, pretty comfortable, November 2, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I like the style of these shoes a lot. They are comfortable for me, just not extremely comfortable otherwise I'd give them 5 stars. (IMO Keen shoes are more comfortable out of the box). I think these will break in a bit with some wear.
I haven't really put these through their paces yet, i.e. trail hiking but have walked miles through NYC streets and parks and they are fine. It may be I'm worried they'll get too dirty on the trail because they are too good-looking! Anyway, 4 stars - comfortable, well-built and stylish.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Cross-Trainer I've Purchased Yet, March 23, 2010
I was shopping for a comfortable cross-trainer for a backpacking trip through Italy and couldn't quite find exactly what I wanted. After checking out most of the major brand shoes out there, a buddy recommended I take a look at Scarpa. Even before being broken in, the Mojito felt amazing. It provided excellent support, comfort, and obvious quality, especially for the price! They are light weight and provide excellent traction for just about any condition I would find myself in. Not to mention the great Italian styling. It's a shame we don't see enough of this brand in the big outdoors shops. I would recommend to anyone that the next time you are looking for a quality product, you can expect to find some of the best stuff out there from the companies that aren't always sold at the big chains. After all, their company name is Shoe in Italian, it makes sense they might know a thing or two about them, doesn't it?

3.0 out of 5 stars Very narrow and runs smaller than labeled, August 7, 2011
Very nice construction and stylish. I tried these out in a size larger than I normally wear and they are still too small. I will have to send them back and order a full size larger than what I normally wear. Even barefoot, these were tight all around. With a sock, they rub very tightly on the forward part of my foot. They really need to make them wider. I wear a 10 medium and I ordered the 43.5 which is a 10.3. I will try again with a 44.5 which is a US 11.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scarpia Mojito's-Hope they don't stop making them, December 2, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Finally a great looking, yet very functional hiking shoe. Although I run a lot, I have very sensitive soles. Any ground irregularity gets painfully transmitted thru other shoes. Not Mojito's, no way. Non slip on the steepest inclines, comfortable, durable, and everyone likes the looks. Nothing but pluses. I have a wide foot and these seemed tight but loosened up after one day of hiking. My one question for Mojito wearers, "How are you cleaning the dust and dirt off so I can wear them with jeans?"

4.0 out of 5 stars great light shoe, May 16, 2010

These shoes look great and feel great. Very light. Not as stable as other Scarpa shoes. More urban shoes than approach. But will do in a pinch. Think urban hiking.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice but narrow, October 10, 2010

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These shoes are very stylish and very nicely constructed and after a couple weeks of wear I have the following comments:
1) They are very narrow. I wear a medium width and had to readjust the laces a lot before they were comfortable and they are still a little tight. If you're foot is on the wider side of medium then you will need a wider shoe than a medium.
2) The white "Scarpa" stitching on the outside of the shoe is very apparent. It's not something I love.
3) There is very little cushioning in the front but the heel is very well cushioned. So don't expect to the balls of your feet to be padded.
4) Scarpa is Italian for "Shoe," so you'll be wearing a shoe that has the word "Shoe" on it. I guess so that you'll know what you're wearing.

And after about a year of using them very infrequently I gave up on wearing them at all. They just weren't ever very comfortable.
And just between us Amazon reviewers, I'm a little suspicious that the folks at scarpa are padding Amazon reviews.
Just sayin.
