5.0 out of 5 stars Great Catchy Album!, June 2, 2009

Butterfly Boucher's sophomore album "Scary Fragile" is a great album that is packed full of catchy choruses, great sing alongs, and amazing harmonies. The album has a mix of both upbeat fun songs as well as beautiful ballads. These songs make it hard for someone not to sing along to! If you love fun and catchy pop music, you should definitely check out this album!

5.0 out of 5 stars Truthfully, Ten Stars would not be enough......., August 19, 2010

I buy a sophomore album with a great deal of hesitation. I don't wanna be let down by someone who's first record seems to be created just for me.
Worse than breaking up with a girlfriend.
Well, not quite.

Fortunately, Butterfly Boucher's new record exceeded my wildest expectations. Quirky-Catchy-Pop-Rock is usually the last place you look for deep-soul authenticity. If Joni Mitchell could really rock, if Dylan could really sing, if Brian Wilson and the Beatles were women. If you could somehow combine all these amazing 60's and 70's musicians, and endow such a musician with the ability to play all the instruments these masters can play, and somehow combine that with someone who creates very clever arrangements, mixes them in a fresh, innovative way, and lays it all down clean, such that each song is the best song on the album......
But let's get real, that would be asking way too much..............

Unless we're talking about Butterfly Boucher.

This girl,
can do,
no wrong.

She has two albums out.
Buy Scary Fragile first,
then you will positively
require Flutterby.

See if I'm wrong.
I dare you.
Scary Fragile

5.0 out of 5 stars ***AMAZING TALENT***, July 25, 2010
This review is from: Scary Fragile (Audio CD)
Butterfly Boucher is perhaps the best artist you haven't heard of, and I am guessing that if you have heard her sing, you are a fan. She is Australian and living and working in the U.S. now. Her works appear on numerous TV shows and she can be heard in SHREK. Great voice, great talent. This, her second CD is well beyond good, well worth the money. Songs like A BITTER SONG, I FOUND OUT, KEEPER, JUST ONE TEAR are fantastic. Watch her on youtube, Butterfly is great. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

5.0 out of 5 stars What A Solid Effort, June 3, 2011

One of the simple pleasures in life is discovering an artist that really rocks your world. This album has exceptional songwriting and the attention to detail is quite impressive. I listen to music as often as possible and I find myself grabbing this one a lot. Butterfly has managed to create her own unique sound and it's delivered with confidence and energy.

It's a shame that the music industry is in such a state of disrepair. There is no excuse for this artist (and many others) not getting some airplay and support. Radio used to introduce us to new things, but now we're left to find them for ourselves. How many other artists are out there that I would really enjoy? Luckily, I got to hear Butterfly Boucher! I don't know anyone that hasn't liked this album - just get it.

Butterfly provides a wonderful counterpoint to the Sarah McLachlan and Friends tour. I purchased Butterfly's CD after the Sarah and Friends show in Chicago and she is excellent. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars happy to have found this!!, March 31, 2010
This review is from: Scary Fragile (Audio CD)
WOW!! Had her first album, Flutterby, and had no idea she had something new out. Just got it and it's AMAZING!! A real talent that not only sings and writes, but also plays everything in the album. Amazing voice and arranging skills.

I saw her years ago performing with Sarah McLachlan. If you like her, you will like Butterfly. It's pop music, but it's smart and has more depth to most of the current artists being pushed today.

Highlights on this album are Gun for a Tongue, For the Love of Love, and Keeping Warm.

Loving this album!!

I scored this on Amazon and it was a very good listen. I had the privilege of meeting Butterfly in Manchester when she opened for Barenaked Ladies. This builds on the success of Flutterby, and I highly recommend it!

I love this new CD from Butterfly Boucher. It has not been out of my car's CD player since I got it. Butterfly's voice is beautiful and strong and she knows how to rock out. She entertains me during my commute to and from work.

It took Butterfly Boucher five years to follow up her wonderful debut disc but it was definitely worth the wait. Her songwriting talent and great vocals are not to be ignored. I absolutely love Scary Fragile and recommend it very highly.

Brilliant!!!

I saw Butterfly open for Bare Naked Ladies on Orlando years ago. Her acustic set was so good that I bought Flutterby at the show. She's touring the US again but missed Florida this time (please come back).

This is a much more mature album that deserves to put this awesome Ausi artist on ipods everywhere.

Especially loved Gun for a Tongue.
