Take one good listen of any song on this album and you'll know exactly what makes Skrillex one of the most revolutionary names in music!

The best songs are definitely "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" or "Rock 'n' Roll (Will Take You to the Mountain)."

So I bought this album on iTunes (don't do it unless you got a gift card like I did, it's $7.99 there). Lemme just say, this album hits hard and sounds freaking amazing. Its not like other electronica, it's dirty and hard. The best songs are definitely "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" or "Rock 'n' Roll (Will Take You to the Mountain)." I'd say it was worth the $7.99 I paid for it so pick this up at $5.99 and crank up the volume.

EDIT: I've been listening to this a fair amount lately and I'd like to add that several of the other songs are good. I have taken a liking to "Scatta" as of late. Theres a mix of all sorts of music. "Scatta" is a rap song thrown in with the dubstep and electronica music. Some of it seems more rock but its all awesome.

I purchased this EP after stumbling upon the title track and was equally impressed by the entire thing altogether -- Skrillex (Sonny Moore) clearly has has a knack for extremely well polished production and instantly catchy, almost pop-like melodies. His tracks roar with a huge over-the-top sound which typically consists of bobbing dubstep beats, sharp buzzsaw synths, and vocals from all different sources, ranging from obscure samples to guest vocalists to Sonny's own voice. At the same time, its never overwhelming. Even the three remixes are well worth their place on the EP. They aren't there simply to fill disc space either; Quite the contrary! They're actually as good as the originals. The Zedd Remix of "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" has to be my personal favorite, which turns said track into nervous fidget house music. Its epicness that matches the original in its own way. In short, this is modern electronic dance music at its finest. You won't be disappointed!

Skrillex's production quality is unmatched. Listen to this album in the highest quality you can find (~320 kbps) and with the best headphones/speakers you can find (for me it's the Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10), and his production will really stand out. Skrillex is incredibly talented and utilizes a highly unique sound. Part of his talent is his ability to draw from all forms of music- Electro, Dubstep, Rap (see: Scatta), Pop (see: Lady Gaga remixes), and his metal (see: The Sadness will never end) background to form an amazing and intense sound. Skrillex does not judge what is good music or not- he sees music as neutrally as possible, mixes and melds all these styles on the platform that is electro. In order to produce the trebles, mids, and bass as cleanly as he does, there is no substitute but a lot of time and effort. Get the best quality Skrillex you can find, combine that with good speakers/headphones, and you will have one heck of a time

I LOLd at another review that said "It sounds like transformers humping on oxycontin", even now, just typing it again makes me laugh. This is an excellent album that a friend suggested to me when I asked for new music to listen to. It's just so awesome, I can't wait to hear more from Skrillex.

A friend sent me a link to Skrillex - Kill Everybody in the World and I almost had a heart attack.

Every song I've heard off this album has production second to none. His kicks are hard, tight, and boomy all at the same time. The aggression is high, but you absolutely can not stop bobbing your head even when you're not in the mood to listen to dubstep/house whatever this is.

The melodies are catchy like Daft Punk wishes theirs still were. Just listen to the the vocal sample in Rock N' Roll, the heavily chopped melody in Kill Everybody that makes you wonder how your brain can connect the melody between the constant chopping interruptions (it's like a mindgame), and the title track with the stacking cup girl sample mixed with the beautiful warm synth lead, is just so much fun. [...] for the sample source.

I like how the whole album feels connected. There is a dark current underneath the entire thing which is very rare in this style of music. Most albums I hear where I like one song; the album ends up with every song sounding the same and boring or it's all completely disconnected and unharmonious. This feels focused like the Joshua Tree or Pretty Hate Machine

I'm guessing Deadmau5 had a hand in this, but can't say for sure. All I can say is Skrillex has my attention and I would not be surprised if he pulled dubstep out of the shadows.

I just recently discovered a genre for what I had been calling robot music. Skrillex is king of dubstep. He has created an album that was way past my expectations, not always to my liking, but always a signature of a particularly interesting human.

This is how you drop bass! This is some of the best EDM music ever. This kid is a musical master. A must own for any fan of EDM music or just music in general.

I dunno, I kind of get a more mainstream dance-y vibe off this than dubstep or whatever. But I am not an expert in this field of music, just someone attracted to whatever appeals to me. I find it neither as ingratiating as the haters claim nor as life changing as the lovers assert. It's just decent, entertaining electronic music.
