My writing is a dark, distorted reflection of life. My characters are often amalgams of people I've come across. Locations are places I am familiar with. I favour what is different and unpredictable. I like a strong pulse and sense of realism. The weird, the underdog, the anti-hero are all welcome as the dark underbelly of human nature is given substance, the virgin clay worked into the horror genre, the psycho-thriller, dark fantasy, crime, even a dip into SF and slipstream, or the just plain weird.

I am the author of six books and during the past twenty years I have seen over 130 stories published in a variety of magazines and anthologies, plus factual articles, poetry and other stuff. I have been twice-nominated for British Fantasy Society awards, was a finalist in the Ian St. James Awards, and have been given 'honorable mentions' many times in the Year's Best Horror and Fantasy series of books. My entire published output is now available on Kindle, including short story collections and novels, four of which were previously out of print.
