We are going to Tennessee and North Carolina in July for vacation. I saw a link for this book while researching hikes in the Smokies. I thought it would be something fun to do with the kids. I've scanned through it and can't wait to actually use it, I know the boys will love it!! It has several different hikes to go on and you collect points for the things you find.

This book was a lot of fun to have with us on the trails. It helped us to stop and take notice of things that we might have otherwise missed. It also helped to prevent a lot of whining about being on the trails. Although my 14 yr old was a little bored with it, my 5 & 7 yr olds enjoyed it. I look forward to more Scavenger Hunt books.

We have already done one of these hunts and we had a blast. It made the hike more fun for those in the group that don't really enjoy hiking. Those of us who love to hike enjoyed it all the more.
