5.0 out of 5 stars Really, Really Fun!! November 19, 2009

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
As a big fan of the Scene It board games I thought I'd try this for my Wii. What a hoot! I especially like the snarky game host...very entertaining. The gameplay itself is classic Scene It, but this is even better because you can play alone and still have fun. But I have to admit, I really like playing against other people. Like the board games, it's a very social experience. I put this in during a party and pretty soon everyone wanted to play. You can't help but get sucked in.

Good stuff.

2.0 out of 5 stars So Many Bad Decisions December 27, 2009
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This game is good for two kinds of people: those with big televisions (so they can actually read the answers) and those who are looking to get into video game design (as an example of what not to do)

Firstly let me say that this game has potential, as an idea it's a great one but there were so many poor design choices made somewhere along the line that it renders the game unplayable. Now, since my Wii is pretty much a party accessory I was quite excited to get another multi-player game. I don't have a small tv (roughly 36"-42" if I had to guess) but we found it impossible and irritating to play. The text is too small, this was clearly a design choice because there's so much negative space on screen as you play. Even though it's on the Wii there is very little point and click interaction; most questions are answered by pushing a specific direction on the d-pad which I found a bit awkward as my natural inclination was to point to or scroll through to the answer I wanted not, for example, push right for choice b and down for choice c. And thirdly, if I might get a bit nit-picky the Host's voice doesn't sync to the mouth animation.

So in conclusion if you're looking for a fun party game, buy this in board game form; if you're committed to a Wii game buy Mario Party.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth buying for movie buffs July 6, 2010
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii|Verified Purchase
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
If you are hesitant to buy this because of the poor reviews, but still have a voice saying you want it, just buy it. Amazon has a great price on a great product. True, I could see the text being a little small on really small TVs, but overall the text that would be unreadable wouldn't be that necessary to play the game anyway (just, for example, the names of the characters you can choose from like "martial artist" or "warrior"). Overall I found this game very fun. I played about 10 games with 3 friends and it was fun every time. RECOMMEND.

1.0 out of 5 stars Would be fun, but... November 30, 2009
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
The concept of this game for the Wii is great. I was so excited to see a Scene It game made for the Wii. There is one major problem, however. The font size of the text is so tiny that my family and I could barely read the answers. I guess it would be okay if you were playing on a big screen tv, but on a regular 27 inch television, it's unplayable. Unless you have a magnifying glass or binoculars. :P

Yes, the game is fun. But the font size makes it unplayable. Do not recommend. Stick to the board game Scene Its...you can't go wrong there!

Great family trivia game! Lots of questions and have never had a repeat. I suggest turning the host off as he can be quite annoying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool to Test Your Movie Knowledge August 25, 2012
By Tiffiny
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii|Verified Purchase
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I've always enjoyed this game and was glad when it came out on Wii. You can choose to play long or short games and can play with up to four people. There's isn't much difference between the long and short games, only about 10-15, I'd say. But the game play is identical. Long or short, there are three rounds and then a final round. The puzzles are various and there's a pretty good mix of old and new movies. The characters you can play with are a mix of males or females and they are dressed up according to different movie genres (e.g. Sci-Fi Girl, Leading Man, Action Hero, Horror Queen, etc.) Like I said, I've always enjoyed this game and if you like movies, you will too.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for small screens, hence the title: Bright lights...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good fun for anyone.
These Scene It! games are fun and well thought out. With they would release more onto gaming systems since they are so much easier to play than the old DVD versions.
