5.0 out of 5 stars A Scene It worth getting!
I got the Star Trek Scene It? Deluxe game a few days ago, and I have to say it pretty much meets my lofty expectations.

The game itself pretty much plays out like any other Scene-It game out there. You can play a long or short game with 2 or more players (4 players/teams max), and go through the board answering either trivia card questions or video questions...

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible replay value
This game is a huge rip-off. After only an hour of playing, you will start to get questions you've seen before. After a few hours, you'll see so many repeats that it starts getting irritating. After a few more hours of playing, you'll see more repeats than original questions, and the game will have lost all entertainment value.

It's a shame, too, because it...

I got the Star Trek Scene It? Deluxe game a few days ago, and I have to say it pretty much meets my lofty expectations.

The game itself pretty much plays out like any other Scene-It game out there. You can play a long or short game with 2 or more players (4 players/teams max), and go through the board answering either trivia card questions or video questions from the DVD (determined by the roll of the dice). The trivia questions for the most part range from simple to fairly obscure, and the DVD-based questions are accessible enough for those with a "normal" interest level in Trek. The hardcore will certainly feel vindicated for being able "to complete the line" of a video sequence before the multiple choice options even appear. If you aren't a fan or are unfamiliar with the franchise at all this game would be very difficult. There is also a "Party Play" feature on the DVD itself, which just selects Random video questions one after another without the use of the board at all. It's a nice mode to play in if you don't want to sit for a whole game.

This edition comes with the metal game tokens as advertised which was a big plus for me. There's a $10 cheaper version out there with plastic pieces, but I demand the best!

I enjoy Scene It games in general, and find this Star Trek edition to be more than worthy of carrying both the name of Star Trek and Scene It.

This was purchased for my husband for his birthday. He is a huge Star Trek fan. We played this with our adult children and he wiped the floor with us! He still found the questions to be quite challenging and was impressed with the caliber of questions. It was a good choice for him.

Ok, first off, I've been waiting for this game forever! It's a ton of fun, from the questions to the dvd play. Seems like there are lots of original series questions, but that might just be because I always get them wrong! Our 11 year old son absolutely loves the dvd questions more than the trivia cards. It's a load of fun for everyone from kids to adults. Not much else to say except it's an awesome game!

just finished playing it, and it was fun...for me. lol. If you are going to play this game with others, they have to know something about Star Trek. I played with my brother and his wife (casual fans of Trek) and I just left them in the dust. I guess it is better to play with others on your knowledge level. If we had the same level of knowing, it would have been more of a game. I wish there was an option for an easy, medium or hard question. It doesn't have that.

Let's just say this, the game is supposed to last around 45 minutes, but it was over in 20. I love it and I think it's great fun. It has some trivia you answer by the other reading a card and other questions are answered by watching video clips. Overall, I would recommend this game to those that want to play alone or with other Trek fans. If you are the only Trek fan playing, you may be the only one that has fun.

A question that was in the game, for example, was asking the name of the actress that played Spock's mom in the original series. How is someone that doesn't know Trek going to answer that? Fun and challenging, but almost impossible for casual and those that aren't really fans

I must say - I probably have 15 versions of Scene-It and have always asked - for the past few years - why not Star Trek?
Here it is!
The gameboard is a little plain - considering there are lots of things they could have done with the imagery and playing spaces - but the questions, the game tokens and even the cards are detialed and amazing.
The DVD is completely all encompasing with great graphics of the TNG bridge - where you literally go from station to station answering questions about Clips, Trivia Scarmbles, Word Jumbles, distorted Images and more. Even the Tie-Breakers are fun. (You get to fight a Romulan Warbird!)
I also really enjoy their version of the Final Cut - it could be people, images, episodes, characters, alien races, ships, shuttles - so much more.
The questions cover Star Trek, ST:The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, Voyager, Enterprise and all 10 Films!
The game pieces represent the varios starships throughout the years and the questions are relatively detailed and difficult for the Star Trek fan. (Who wants easy questions anyway!)
Overall the first time I opened this up - we played four times - needless to say I won all four! (But it took over five hours (and didnner in between) to win them!
The board is high quality. The DVD is amazing and extremely fun. The tin in comes in is also amazingly colorful and detailed.
I just hope they do more Trek just for each of the five series seperately and then all the movies by themselves!
Whether you are a STAR TREK fan or not - but it does help - this is fun for the whole family! 4-21-09

As a die hard Trekkie, I was afraid that this game would be much too easy for me. I had previously tried the Disney version of Scene It and had little difficulty answering every question correctly.

Gameplay is identical to other versions of Scene It - you start on one space and roll dice until you get a question wrong. Some of the questions are easy, but most are very difficult and will require a real Star Trek expert to answer.

My only complaint is that it only has one difficult level. The Disney version of Scene it had two sets of questions - one for adults, one for children. I wish that Star Trek Scene It had two sets of questions - one for casual viewers and one for hardcore trekkies. It makes it difficult to find somebody to play with when most your friends are only casual fans while you could recite the entire scripts to episodes in your sleep :-p... some questions are very easy, but a lot are obscure.

Still, if you have a group of reasonably knowledgeable Star Trek fans you can't go wrong with this game.

Im a Star Trek nut, so when i received this in the mail i felt like the cast of next gen had shown up at my door to exchange technobabble. This version covers all the shows and even the movies. I played it with 2 people that knew a bit about the trek and one person that knew nothing. I myself had a blast of course, but everyone else wanted to quit, where have all the trekkies gone? You have to really enjoy the Star Trek universe to enjoy this game. Most of the questions were entertaining and were not too difficult to answer, but occasionally we would get one that only the writers of the show could answer, like "What was the middle name of the ambassador that visited Picard on episode # whatever". There is a board and metallic ship pieces that are included, the instructions are easy to follow. Some of the trivia includes video clips from any of the shows or movies and some trivia will have you name whats missing from a picture. Overall i had a blast playing it because im a trekkie, but everyone else will probably not be lining up to play.

Star Trek scene it deluxe is the best game I have ever had!
If you have friends or family who are BIG FANS of Star Trek , or they just like it this game is a great gift for them and they will love you for it!
The game covers all the movies and all 5 tv shows , with Questions and filled with video and audio clips. The game tokens are the ships from the four main TV shows they are Star Trek , STTNG, DS9, and Voyager.
You only get 1 tin or box even though it looks like you get 2!
