These are nothing like silk. They are so thin that they are practically transparent and they feel very much like cheap nylon. With a single digit price they might, maybe be usefull as an alternative to the lowest grade polyester.

Silky, of course, if a bit on the fragile side. Yet to submit it to a careful cold-water washing. One problem is the fabric is a bit low in that quality of "breathing," which means to lie in one position can leave you a tad hot. Very, very light and, I suppose, kind of sexy, if you're into that sort of thing.

You will never go back to cotton or jersey sheets again. This sheet is not silk but it makes you wonder how it cannot possibly be silk. Keeps you warm and cool throughout the season. Prepare to buy 2 when you see a good deal so that you'll always have one fresh in hand! Note: Look for "Whispersilk" brands by Scent-Scation only. These are the sheets that bed, bath and beyond used to sell. I put 8 years on the first set and almost cried when I had to get rid of them. After that I spent 2 years searching stores and the net to find these extremely silky sheets. Some people mention that theses are too slick or feel fake but if you want the smoothest and silkiest sheets that even feel better that 1000 dollar sheets give these a try. Caution if you like your pillows to stay on the bed you must look else where. Only me and my wife wake up in this bed because your pillows and any thing else you cant hold on to including the comforter will end up on the floor. If you need this super slick and highly sexy feeling, no other sheets can compare. We love them!!!!

I've been using these wonderfully soft and silky sheets for 3 years and they are the best.
These sheets have a wonderfully soft delicate and smooth feel combined with silk charmeuse pajamas and do not seem to wear out.

They feel great combined with:
> silk charmeuse pajamas from Wintersilks
> "5 Star Hotel Down Pillow" with silk charmeuse pillow cases from Soft Surroundings
> A nice down comforter from Cuddledown with a silk charmeuse duvet cover

I buy a set and only use the bottom sheet.
With silk charmeuse pajamas you get the best silky smooth feel if you put the bottom sheet on sideways on the mattress. For this reason I get the king sized set and just use the flat sheet on the bottom and put it on sideways so the top is tucked into the right side of the mattress. This gives the silkiest feel when getting into and out of bed. I can also roll over at night and the pajamas just slide on the sheet nicely.

Also its best to have a nice mattress pad or set of pads. Since my Shifman mattress is relatively firm, I use 3 matress pads on top of each other. The first pad is a heated type so I can pre-warm the bed in the winter. The second layer is a plush wool pile pad for good all season breathability. The 3rd pad is a standard polyester pad from Kohls to add just the right amount of softness.

Dont buy, save your money. Opened up the box, put on my bed and noticed 2 tears in the fitted sheet. Unbelievable, waste of time and waste of money.

Sheets arrived quickly and in good condition. The satin is a little thinner than sheets that we have purchased in the past. but they come from china .

These sheets looked dark gray in the bedroom lighting. Kinda depressing. I was expecting more whats in the picture, so I sent them back, unopened. I had the chamoise collection light gray silver before, but those did not last long; I just bought from Kmart a much lighter silver satin version, I will keep my fingers crossed.
