This TV has a 1280 x 720-pixel resolution and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio for optimal viewing of high definition broadcasts and DVD movies. It also features a fast 16 ms (millisecond) response rate, 170-degree viewing angle, 500 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and 600:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) It offers compatibility with 1080i, 720p, 480p, 480i high definition formats.
The 3D Y/C digital comb filter constantly analyzes the three dimensions of picture height, picture width, and picture changes-over-time, to reduce dramatically edge image artifacts while improving transition detail. The 3:2 pulldown cinema video processing feature detects and compensates film--which is shot at 24 frames per second (fps) compared with video's 30 fps rate--to video for a smooth theater-like experience at home. Other TV features include picture-in-picture/picture-on-picture (PIP/POP) capability, NTSC/PAL/SECAM video compatibility, V-Chip parental controls, and an internal clock. It provides the following connections:

DO NOT BUY FROM SCEPTRE...I bought three of the 30 inch models and with in 10 month's all three have a ghosting image or burned in image. When I went to ask Sceptre about this problem in not just one, but all three, and also looked to exchange them they would not even consider it. They were not intrested in my problem and when I was able to finally ship them back, so they could look at the problem, it was at my expense. I have delt with different audio/visual companies and equipment for years and have never had problems like I had with Sceptre. This may seem like a great price for a LCD monitor, but please take one more look around. Sceptre's does not have the quality nor the customer service to make this a good enough deal. When I made my purchase, all the reviews I saw, gave them a good report, but my experience with them and their product was one of the worst I have ever had. Do not buy any of their products.

I bought this TV 2 years ago. It was my first flat panel and I've been very happy with it. It's not a full 1080p but it also costs alot less than 1080ps of the same size. I've never had a single problem with it. It was ready to use right out of the box. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking to replace an old CRT with a flat panel but doesn't want to break the bank.
