Got from Newegg. Shipping & tax incl. $499. Great price if the set lasts.I realize that Sceptre isn't a "major" brand, but all TVs are made in third world countries, so there can't be much difference in the insides for the same priced units. So far it works great with no apparent dead pixels.(how do ya tell?) Got a special on a HD cable box for a yr. and then may hook an over the air antenna for HD channels. I assume you would need a splitter to connect the cable line and some rabbit ears for the over the air HD channels. Remote is ok but small. As I'm not using a bunch of extras, it's fine. Channels easy to change, and goes from HD to reg. very easy. Sound doesn't get very loud, but just enough to hear normal audio. Try one. Should be fine!
