Wow, the value, the quality, it all fits into the 3rd place spot in PC World's top 10 19inch LCD monitors from August 2003. Beginning to explain the monitor's quality versus price is unbelievably difficult. I can't say the exact price I bought this monitor at, however I CAN say that this replaced my 21inch Hitachi monitor! The text was just getting too fuzzy and moired up to read! The graphics were great and fluent on my old monitor, but it left out crispness. this monitor looks almost the same size as my 21inch because the 19inch Sceptre's screen is nearly as big, but the entire size of the monitor is so small compared to the screen size that it makes it look just as big! Not only is it small, though, it also has great image quality. The text is sharp and readable, unlike my predecesor. I also experienced much crisper colors and graphics in my games/DVD's. LCD's are going down in price, and the quality is getting better. Last year, you could buy a mid-range 15inch monitor for this price, now we can get high-end 19inch LCDs. Get while the gettin's good, and get this monitor! This is no deal to pass down on, and if you are in the monitor market it is the ticket to monitor heaven!

Two things are incredible about this monitor: the excellent image quality from a lesser known brand, and the very affordable price for a 19" LCD. Image lighting is bright and even, and video playback is smooth and easy on the eyes. This monitor handles both text and pictures equally well. This is not only a great value, but an excellent monitor in all regards.

I would like to throw this LCD out.

Be warned that Sceptre does NOT stand behind their LCDs and have a crummy very limited 1 year warantee.

Most important about Sceptre's poor support is that their policy is that NO MATTER HOW MANY PIXELS ARE BURNT OUT OR BROKEN, THEY WILL NOT FIX IT OR CONSIDER IT A DEFECT. yOU'RE STUCK WITH IT !!

If you get a perfect one, hope it stays that way, if not, you're stuck.

To me, support and a companies backup of a product says everything about them.
