It covers all of the primary topics in undergraduate biochemistry and gives pertinent examples without extraneous information. For undergraduate courses related to biochemistry, Schaum's Outline of Biochemistry is a vital course supply material for quizzes, midterms and also finals. The book contains a wide range of topics including amino acids and proteins, and hundreds of examples at the end of every chapter.

I am a graduate student currently taking the first semester course of a two-semester run of biochemistry. If you are going to take a biochem course, GET THIS OUTLINE. Textbooks are pretty cumbersome, and after reading a given text chapter, it's nice to have a supplement like this to refer to for clarification. It also provides lots of sample problems/questions, all of which will lead to greater understanding of the material that you're learning. I highly recommend this outline.
