Being a college student,I do not agree with the first review at all. This is a great book. It covers the FUNDAMENTALS of college algebra, discrete mathematics, trigonometry, analytic geomety, and calculus. This study guide is the best tutor you could ask for. It really produces results without overwhelming you with unnecessary details. You get a complete overview of the subject. Plus you get plenty of practice exercises to test your skills!! It's perfect for preparing you for any exam. You'll see it when you get your test results. I highly recommend it. Try it for yourself before believing negative reviews.

I used this book to study for a placement test to get into college Calculus. I am preparing to be a graduate student and had not been in college for over 6 years. this book was the perfect starting point to review all the material covered up to calculus. It starts from basic arithmetic all the way to pre-cal and trigonometry. any problems i could not figure out how to solve i asked a tutor. It was great because it let me focus exactly on the topics i did not know well - the result - i aced the exam and got an A in calculus. now im in calc 2 and doing well.

As a math tutor I am always "on the lookout" for good problems for my Algebra students. I have several copies of this book and loan them out to students that need solved problems to practice techniques.

I ordered this book as I needed a step by step refresher of everything mathematics including order of operations for algebraic expressions. This book is great if you need some extra problem sets to help enhance what you know. If you have forgotten how to do the math and need a step by step refresher, do not buy this book. The author sets up the example without explaining why it is set up that way and then gives an answer to the problem without showing how it is solved. It leaves somebody like me very frustrated.

This was a required book for my son over the summer before his sophomore year of high school pre-calculus, honors. He is finding it easy to review, to self-teach, and to navigate his summer assignments. When he does have a question about a problem or two, they are written well enough for us (his parents) to help with a solution.

I would definitely buy from this seller again book was clean and I was surprise it reached me so quickly..great service

This text was required for a graduate level math class. I ordered it before the class started and wish I had waited. I didn't find this useful at all. I found more useful information on the internet (for free).
