This book is well written with numerous examples of both statistics and probabiliy. Although the written material is straighforward, I personnally find it necessary to analyze the author's explanation to ascertain how the answer was derived.
I've been out of college for several years now and when attempting to assist and 8th grader with probability, I realized I needed a refresher course. Keep in mind this is an outline and not an in-depth math book. The author has taken several steps to indentify what knowledge is necessary in order to follow the examples contained. Considering the price and information contained, I would definitely state this was a bargain. On the other hand, if you don't understand addition and subtraction of fractions or finding the Least Common Denominator, perhaps a more general math book would be beneficial. |
