Here's a more affordable version of the Synyster Gates Custom. This features the same wicked looks of the Avenged Sevenfold guitarist's signature model, but with a few different components, such as a bolt-on mahogany neck rather than a set neck, a rosewood fretboard in place of ebony, and Duncan HB-108 humbuckers rather than the custom Invaders on the Custom model. You still get the "SYN" and DeathBat inlays, a Floyd Rose tremolo, and the awesome gloss black finish with silver pinstripes.

Mahogany Neck and Body with "Synyster" Looks
This guitar delivers warm, defined tone and a ton of sustain, featuring a 25.5-inch scale mahogany neck and mahogany body.

The fast rosewood fretboard boasts 24 jumbo frets, and Schecter's 'Ultra Access' cutaway means you can reach those ultra-high notes with ease.

As for looks, this axe has plenty. The Hellraiser body shape is a long-time winner. The black finish and silver pinstripes are both killer and classy, with black hardware and binding to top it off. Custom "SYN" inlays and the the "Deathbat" at the 12th fret make it even better, for a unique and striking instrument.

Duncan Designed HB-108 Detonators
Based on Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invaders, HB-108s are called Detonators for a reason. These are ultra-high-output humbuckers, built specifically for the aggressive playing styles in punk, metal and other genres.

A three-way switch selects between pickups, and the coil-tap on the tone knob lets you switch to a single coil sound.

Floyd Rose Tremolo System
The patented and often imitated double-locking design of the Floyd Rose Tremolo System allows you to lock your guitar in tune at the nut and at the bridge. Engineered like no other tremolo system, the Floyd's high-quality steel parts are manufactured to exacting specifications. Beat it up as much as you want--from traditional vibrato to dive bombing leads or flapping loose strings, and stay in tune while you do it.

i recieved my schecter synyster gates standard electric guitar one day before the estimated date of arrival.. it was perfectly packed and in quite good conditions.. the guitar has performed well in every aspect i have tested it and i have to say.. i'm looking forward to buy again a schecter guitar by amazon..
the humbuckers are seymour duncan detonators and perform very well.. the "humbucker/single-coil" switch gives a full change of tone in all three positions.. and the tone controller has a very radical change from high equalization to low equalization for all the six modes in wich you can set the pickups with the "humbucker/single-coil" switch.. even with a very specific equalization in your amp.. you can get a smooth acoustic sound using the "single coil" switch on and the tone controller near to half with the pickup selector in the neck pickup..
the schecter synyster gates standard electric guitar has a great versatility.. given its look you can think that is a heavy metal guitar but given its huge window for sound setting, you can even use it for blues, soft rock, a little jazz, even country music, i have actually done that, ballads and almost every thing you want if you know how to set up your amp as well..

when i started playing, since i am pretty good, i could not help but notice that a large bat like creature flew around the room and threatened to kill me. It must have been the notorious death bat but it only comes out when i shred on the guitar so dont get it if you want a playable guitar...
