Hair gets caught inside,
By Yang Du "Dublidu" (BELLEVUE, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Schick Intuition Plus Moisturizing Care Pack, Variety Pack, 1 Pack (Health and Beauty)
This razor gives a good shave and is really convenient since you don't have to fumble with shaving cream. However, my main complaint is that long hair will get caught inside the blade and it's impossible to clean once the hair gets tangled with the wires and stuff behind the blade. I never had this problem with regular razors.
Another problem is that the soap sometimes cracks as it dries and chunks of it will fall off.

Waste Of Money,

This review is from: Schick Intuition Plus Moisturizing Care Pack, Variety Pack, 1 Pack (Health and Beauty)
I bought the Schick Intuition because I thought it would be a convenient time-saver since I wouldn't have to bother using gel. After using it for a few weeks I feel like I wasted my money. The first time I used the product it seemed to work great, and I was happy with my purchase. However, after using it a few times I noticed that the razor wasn't shaving entirely. When I finish using the Intuition, my legs and underarms still look like they need to be shaved because the razor doesn't provide a close, smooth shave. It seems as though the moisture bar that surrounds the razor prevents it from getting close enough to your skin to shave the hair entirely. Basically, this product's purpose is to give a smooth shave, but after using it your skin is still prickly.
The cartridges also don't seem to last long. The razor stays sharp, like most normal razors, but the moisture bar disappears quickly. This means I would be buying costly refills more often than I feel I should be. I'm switching back to razors and gel because this product simply does not work and uses expensive cartridges too quickly.

No "Plus" about it--the old one is better,

I have been a long-time user of the Intuition razor line, starting with the regular, not-Plus version of this system back in 2003 or 2004. I used the same plastic Intuition hand-held device for six or seven years, replacing the cartridges as I went, and all was well.
This year it finally started to show its wear, so I decided to upgrade to the Plus variety. I had already been using Plus razor cartridges in my old system, after all, since they fit in both. I have to say I'm enormously frustrated by a few design differences between the two that have made shaving annoying since then. The main problem: the suction cup caddy that holds the razor against your shower wall. The original Intuition razor came with a plastic hook that fit into a hole at the base of the razor. This hook stuck to the shower wall with two small suction cups. It was an incredibly stable system--if one suction cup went loose, the whole thing didn't go tumbling to the floor of the shower. Additionally, it suspended the razor upside down, allowing gravity to help drain water out of the razor when it was not in use. The new suction cup caddy has one suction cup and is a yawning, vaguely C-shaped affair that the razor rests in facing up. I am extremely near-sighted and do most things in the shower by touch, and if I should put the new Plus Intuition razor back into the caddy with any imprecision at all, it slips right out and the whole thing smashes on the shower floor. Unfortunately, whenever it takes a tumble like this, the entire assembly comes undone--the razorblade comes out of the cartridge, the cartridge holder comes out of the razor, and sometimes even the caddy falls down. The fact that this incarnation of the razor never drains itself is also a drawback. Water is often trapped inside the plastic and it's harder for the small, shaved off hairs to drain out of the razor as well. All in all, I'm really frustrated by this upgrade. My recommendation: if you want to use Intuition, find the old system if you can (probably on Amazon, since Schick has removed virtually all vestiges of the non-Plus variety from big box stores), and just buy Plus cartridges to go in it. There was nothing wrong with the old one. I even found it easier to hold and use than this new, cumbersome shaft.

I bought this at my local CVS because I had a 25% off coupon for reg. priced items and the Venus's were on sale. God I wish I bought a Venus! Your hair gets stuck in the blades and are very hard to clean. I tried to use tweezers but then like metal wires were sticking out? why are there little metal wires?! After I took them out, it wouldn't shave at all! Worse waste of money ever!

Good Idea, but doesn't follow through.,

I honestly purchased this razor because I loved the design, how chunky it was and easy to hold. I also thought it would be able to shave faster since it was so much bigger than a regular razor. Well, I am extremely disappointed. I paid 10 bucks for it and I wish I could return it now. It does not work that well at all. I loved the idea of having the cream around the razor so you don't need to use gel or shaving cream. But I couldn't get a close shave, at least not for more than 5 minutes. It took me LONGER to shave with this because I had to keep running over the same spots over and over. I do have thick, coarse hair, but the blades are already full of hair that can't be rinsed or taken out. That's after one shave of my legs. I hadn't shaved in about a month because of winter, that's true. But the razor should have been able to get the job done. When I got out of the shower, I noticed my legs had shaved parts and lots of strips of hair still left. I even got back in the shower, wasting more time, and the razor just stopped working. I ran it over and over certain strips of my skin, it wouldn't shave. The rest of my legs that did shave aren't a close shave at all. It was a good design and concept, and I love how it looks. I just wish it'd have worked. I don't think it's right to have to use a different cartridge for every new shave.

Quick shave, could be smoother,

I hate shaving. I have long legs and pretty coarse, but blonde, hair. I bought this razor in hopes that it would make shaving more convenient. I don't necessarily care if I get a perfect, smooth shave, just that you can't see the hair.
I've had this razor for one week and I have shaved my legs three times (this is a lot for me). It doesn't feel like I'm even shaving, it's so smooth. It took me significantly less time to shave than it normally does. I didn't cut my legs whatsoever, not even around my ankles or knees. It even did a decent job on my underarms. One thing I noticed is that I did not get a very smooth shave. Even after the first shave with the razor when the razor was brand new, it didn't give me a very smooth shave. Honestly though, it's so easy to use and makes the legs look so nice, that I don't really care if it's not perfectly smooth. I go to the beach a lot and like to wear capris, so I just care that you can't see any hair.

I got my razor on the 30th of June and was really excited to use it. I used it the following night, it didn't look as weird as it did on amazon or anywhere else ( I seriously thought it was gonna be bulky). I started on my legs first, ran my hands on my first leg and was truly impressed, I passed the razor once, no second shave or anything like that needed. Being so impressed with the results on my legs, I went on a shaving frenzy (did under my arms and my bikini area). I swear I couldn't stop touching my legs. The shaver really does its job, no knicks, no cuts, just sad that I took so long to buy one.
I could care less to use my other razor now (Gillette Venus Breeze) , will be pelting it in the bin very soon...
