5.0 out of 5 stars Time saver
I used to think the commercials for this razor were offensive. I mean really, how often is it that a girl can not shave her legs without squirting herself in the face with shaving cream?

I broke down and bought it, hoping it would make the process of shaving quicker. I cut my shaving time in half with this. That means a lot when on a time schedule. The razor...

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, but not without a few key flaws(concise, indepth review)
Pros of this razor:
-glides across skin easily and without cutting, so long as skin is wet beforehand. I usually cut myself with any and all razors at some point, but not with this one.

-the soap surrounding the razor didn't cause me any irritation at all, a miracle because no matter what shave gel I use on any part of my body I usually end up with...

I broke down and bought it, hoping it would make the process of shaving quicker. I cut my shaving time in half with this. That means a lot when on a time schedule. The razor cut close to the skin, but felt smooth the entire time, then left the skin moisturized afterwards.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for in the shower!, January 16, 2008
This review is from: Schick Intuition Plus Shaving Kit for Sensitive Skin, Fragrance Free, 1 each (Health and Beauty)
This is a good razor for in shower. I don't get cuts, and I take a lot less time shaving with this. My only complaint is the soap/moisturizer bar around the blade wears out at the bottom and leaves a lot on top you really can't use. It is also a little expensive, but really helps me speed up my shower routine.

I am a mother of three and I LOVE this razor. I have used it for over 5 years (before I had kids actually) and I find its a great time saver and a very effective razor. I love that I don't need to lather up with soap or shaving cream and that the handle is large and rubber so it doesn't get slippery. It is true that it doesn't last as long as other razors because the soap/shaving lotion strip wears out before the razor, but that is the only downside and lets be honest I don't get to shave that often anyway so they last a while for me. The other nice thing about this particular product is the "sensitive skin, fragrance free" aspect. I tend to have a reaction to most fragrances and every soap dries out my skin, but that has not been the case with this product. I tried the Cucumber Melon and although I liked the fragrance my skin felt like it was burning after I used it. I would say give this a try, I am certainly glad that I did!

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than average, July 20, 2009

First let me get a small complaint off my chest the razor head bottom strip does not last long enough.

I love this razor I have used it for three years and never had a cut or scrape that was not actully user error (went the wrong way) with that said I use this razor to save time now I have really sentive skin and can not use much of anything on it, but this one works and leaves me smooth for days at a time.

Bought this as a replacement for an older one. My wife is very happy with this product, and the cost through Amazon was about half of local stores.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love it, but it doesn't last long, August 15, 2011
This review is from: Schick Intuition Plus Shaving Kit for Sensitive Skin, Fragrance Free, 1 each (Health and Beauty)
It's only good for a couple uses. Then the bar wears out. However it's amazing, and it leaves my legs softer than I've ever felt them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable to hold, cartridges make for fast easy shave, February 19, 2010
This review is from: Schick Intuition Plus Shaving Kit for Sensitive Skin, Fragrance Free, 1 each (Health and Beauty)
Ever since I have been in college, I can not go without a day without shaving my legs -- I can't stand the feel of stubble.

This is the best razor I have ever used. I love the large handle with the rubbery grip. I love the fact that the blades are surrounded in the solid that acts like "on the go" shaving gel. The blades are retractable and movable within the solid so that it conforms to knees, ankles etc. It is great for a quick shave without having to get slathered first.

The only negative is that the conditioner solid does not last that long -- at least for me since I am using it daily. The solid is used up within 3-4 weeks and the replacements are expensive. However, for the convenience and the end result, I'm ok with that because I don't have the mess and cost of additional shaving products.

If you are fanatical about having smooth legs every day, this is the right razor to keep that.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, but not without a few key flaws(concise, indepth review), December 14, 2011
This review is from: Schick Intuition Plus Shaving Kit for Sensitive Skin, Fragrance Free, 1 each (Health and Beauty)
Pros of this razor:
-glides across skin easily and without cutting, so long as skin is wet beforehand. I usually cut myself with any and all razors at some point, but not with this one.

-the soap surrounding the razor didn't cause me any irritation at all, a miracle because no matter what shave gel I use on any part of my body I usually end up with stinging, burning red skin to various degrees. Happily, this caused me no problems.

-came with a handle holder for the shower, attaches to walls with suction cup. Light weight enough it didn't seem to fall once I made sure both the suction cup and wall I was attaching it to were free of soap scum and any dirty surface. Must adhere to completely clean and smooth surface or it will fall. Use a little alcohol to wipe any small amount of oil or soap away and it sticks fine.

-very convenient and fast, though probably better left for touch ups due to it's extremely short life and seeming ability to miss small amounts of hair.

Cons of this Razor:

-I found I missed quite a few small areas and had to go back over them to make sure my legs were completely hairless. I don't know if this is my error or the razor's error however. It was hard to tell what area of my legs I had not shaved since there is no foam patches like with regular shaving gel to let me know where I have not yet shaved. I also noticed it seems the finer the hair, the less efficient this razor is.

-The soap around the razor runs out WAY TOO FAST. I was a bit shocked at how quickly it runs out. You literally will probably get two leg shaving sessions out of this and not much more. I used nearly 3/4 of the damn thing just doing my legs and armpits.

-Because of how quickly it is used up it's far too disposable and wasteful for my taste. All these used razors and plastic pieces end up in a landfill somewhere and I know there are no environmentally friendly disposable razors, but these are even more wasteful than usual.

-Also, on the note of wasteful, the replacement cartridges cost quite a bit and given how fast they run out, it's really a lot of money in the end. A 6 pack of razor head replacements costs around $14, give or take, and it just seems too much to maintain this razor.

Final Conclusion:

I would not purchase this again, though it works quickly and relatively efficiently(though I did have missed spots as stated). It is too quickly used up and though I all in all liked it, it's price would prevent me from ever buying it again as well as the guilt of producing needless trash. I'll be sticking to a much longer lasting razor and some normal shave gel, thank you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Most awful demonic razor ever produced by Schick, January 10, 2009
This review is from: Schick Intuition Plus Shaving Kit for Sensitive Skin, Fragrance Free, 1 each (Health and Beauty)
Naturally, from the title, you could guess I'd give this "thing" less than one star if possible. If you're curious enough to try this product, instead of throwing money away on it, try sticking razor blades into a bar of soap and rubbing that over your legs and underarms. Same exact effect.

The soap part is only good for maybe one shave (if you survive it) and when you can't feel if the blade is actually touching the top of the skin and then you'll press harder. Congratulations, you have butchered yourself with a bar of soap. Also the "sensitive shaving gel" component will leave your skin dry, not to mention the patches of razor burn you'll be subjected to once the "convenient" shaving gel becomes miserable remnants that taunt you as you drag the drying razor over your skin.

The size and unwieldly shape itself would be a problem in itself even without the deceptive soap block covering the razor. For some reason, it has a huge thick grip and a wide razor head. Unless your body is composed of perfectly flat, broad planes (unlike knees, underarms, etc) go for it. Having shark-tough skin would also be useful.

Either it leaves you unshaven and dry from the shaving gel, or cut up and angry. at a razor. which is sad.

I am sure there was some good natured person who honestly believed this cursed plastic thing would "save time in the shower", but at what cost? What are you doing with your shaving cream in the five seconds it takes to apply that you would subject yourself to this voodoo doctor witch tool that will either leave you as hairy as ever or cut to shreds (by the way DO NOT use on your lady parts!! I can only shudder at what damage that could cause to the unsuspecting consumer) I could not believe a razor could be so frustrating.

I love my quattro. Shortcuts be darned, razors and shaving cream are the extent of our shaving technology as a species, people.
