5.0 out of 5 stars This Book is a Life Saver, August 24, 2010
This review is from: The Schizophrenias: Ours to Conquer (Hardcover)
Carl Pfeiffer, MD, PhD, the author of this book was my doctor. He saved my life over 30 years ago via orthomolecular medicine which is the topic of this book. I recovered from schizophrenia via the nutritional techniques discussed in this book which is quite comprehensive- outlining the different orthomolecular diagnosis such as Histadelia, Pyroluria, Porphyria, Hypoglycemia, etc. I would recommend this book to anyone suffering from what the mainstream refers to as "schizophrenia" or to what they refer to as "bipolar" because these mainstream labels are meaningless. Pfeiffer was a pioneer in the suppressed alternative treatment mode called orthomolecular medicine and he was able to discern certain specific biotypes that could be identified on a basis of nutritional lab work. Thus, the orthomolecular labels identified in this book actually have meaning. Any patient reading this book can use it to get the help they need if they can find an orthomolecular physician to do the lab work. To find such a physician search via [...] Its too bad this book is out of print! I'm glad some used copies are still available.
